It's interesting to note that The Voice's ratings have dropped consistently 5 weeks in a row since "The Battles, Part 3" on April 22nd. This week's performance show's ratings were lower than any week of American Idol's ratings this last season. Will the ratings continue to fall in the coming weeks?

I know many people have complained that Blake Shelton is looking to win the series 3 straight seasons in a row--because he’s a country singer perhaps--and that the top 6 is composed of 4 country singers (5, counting the duo)? The country vote has contributed to a lot of bad calls on these shows.

You are really don't know anything about television talent shows do you? Don't know where you get your numbers (ratings), but Fox said that the ratings for the whole season 12 of "Idol" were down 12 percent over the past years and the Finale show this season was the lowest rated show ever in the 12 years of the show.

"The Voice" may not have all the ratings, but they have a loyal audience who enjoys what they are seeing on the show. The fact that Blake Shelton has managed to have, for the first time, an all country artists team resonates well with the American Public who are deciding who will be the next "Voice".

The show has been up against "Dancing With The Stars" for most of the weeks until now and this is where the run for the title gets serious. The singers will be under pressure to pick the correct songs, and the judges will be under the pressure to make sure that they give "the performance of their lives" each week.

"The Voice" never shows untalented want-to-be's during their Blind Auditions. They have separated those from the pack so that we don't have to worry about embarrassing those who don't have talent on national television, like 'American Idol' does.

Just because you don't like The Voice, and how the show performs each week does not make it a bad show. You don't like it, so don't watch it.

I tried to watch "Idol" this season, but couldn't stand the two female judges who would rather pick at each other instead of give 'constructive criticism' to the contestants. And I believe like Fox and a lot of others that the Finale Show was poorly done this season. Too many guest artists were lip-syncing and they didn't represent the best of the talent that is out there. I totally believe they got it right with Candice winning, and her album is coming out in just a couple of weeks. She is taking advantage of her "15 minutes of fame", hoping people will remember her while she is on the "Idol Tour" this summer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Voice_ ... on_ratings (and the sources for each rating at the bottom of the page)

It's true American Idol's ratings were down, but its ratings were always higher than The Voice's anyway, and its lows are still higher. It's sad that The Voice will never have the same impact Idol had in its prime (and continues to have, if Phillip Phillips' "Home" is any indication).

Not so sure about that. I've heard many people joke about how The Voice has become Nashville Star.

That's what's funny, their ratings are still down after DwtS has ended.

Why watch a show that all you do is slam it because it's ratings are low. NBC recognizes there is a lot of competition on Monday nights, and I think that those who watch The Voice are devoted viewers, not like the one-offs at "Idol".

We don't have all those 'teeny-boppers' clogging the voting because 'that guy is cute', or some other inane comment.

A shows ratings doesn't mean it is not a good show, and if you use Wikipedia for your information you are a loser, because it has been shown that Wikipedia is the biggest fountain of misinformation ever on any internet site. Check out Nielsen Ratings Inc. and see what the ratings really are for your favorite shows.

We could debate who is better, but you and I are different planets. I have a much better ear for good voices than you, and I will still believe that "Idol" fixed the Season 11 winner long before it came to the Finale. And Phillip Phillips is one of the biggest 'no-talents' to come off that show. Even David Cook is better than him, and Cook was a weak winner also.

You do realize that every rating on the Wikipedia page has a source at the bottom of the page from Nielsen? I’m sorry, you live outside the 21st century so you may not know what sources are. I don't watch The Voice (haven't since Chris Mann lost), I was just reporting what I had heard on another forum. :P
I tried to watch "Idol" this season, but couldn't stand the two female judges who would rather pick at each other instead of give 'constructive criticism' to the contestants.
I don't see much difference between that and what went on between Christina and Adam in the second season of The Voice, except that they were white.

Just to add to your Chris Mann story. Chris is from Wichita, Kansas, and has appeared here three times sine he lost on The Voice. His career has boomed, and his fourth album is set for release in the coming weeks. He will be a guest on The Voice, and he is appearing at Riverfest here in Wichita, Kansas next week.

The Kansas State Fair doesn't begin until September, but we have Chris Mann scheduled to appear with a big show combining his light opera talent as well as his pop songs.

In November, Chris will be appearing with Wichita Symphony Orchestra, in a mostly light-classical concert.

I can only say that all my experiences years ago (back in the 60's) with the Strawberry Alarm Clock have made me watch 'American Idol', 'The 'X' Factor', and "The Voice" in a different light than most people. After all I did have a multi-million seller with "Insense and Peppermint" with the 'Alarm Clock' and their appearance in "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" was very much a moment in their career.

I am interested in the follow up show that NBC has scheduled in June called "And the Winner Is". It sounds like it might be interesting. Also will be watching "America's Got Talent" just for all the fun it has in presenting some of the most 'God-Awful' talent on television.

The Top Six were featured this week on The Voice, with each singing two songs - one of their choice and one of their coaches choice. It was really interesting listening to all of them, and then look back to their first appearances on The Voice, and see how much they have grown.

Tonight's (Tuesday) Results' show will only send one person packing, the person getting the lowest total votes.

Then next week they will lose two from the Top Five and the following week, the Top Three Finalists will compete for the coveted "The Voice" trophy and recording contract.

The weakest performance last night, in my opinion, was Danielle Bradbery's version of Sarah Evans "Stronger". She still made the song her own, but this could be the week she leaves the competition.

The Swon Brothers continue to impress and entertain and last night was no different. Their personal choice was Darius Rucker's "Wagon Wheel", and coach Blake Shelton chose "Okie From Muskogee" for the duo to light up the stage with. They didn't disappoint.

Michelle Chamuel continues to grow each week, and is slowly getting over her 'stage fright' and becoming a true star. I think this is her title to lose. She just keeps getting better each week.

Last night, Monday, June 10, was The Voice Semi-Finals show and what a show it was. Each of the five surviving singers got to go home and visit friends and it was quite a heart-warming scene for people like Amber Carrington and Danielle Bradbery.

Each artist got to sing two songs last night and then we had almost 10 hours of voting available with 10 votes per voting method, and one vote for iTunes download.

It will be heartbreaking to see any of the five cut tonight, but I am guessing, just from performances last night, that Amber Carrington and Sasha Allen will be not going to the Finals next week.

Highlight of last night's show was Usher performing his new single "Twisted", and it really brought the house to a standing ovation. Usher showed some dance moves that I didn't know he had in him. He is very talented, and I think he shared a lot of his knowledge with his team.

Gonna miss these two judges, Shakira and Usher, next season, when 'Miss Boobs-a-Lot' and CeeLo Green return. They will have awfully big shoes to fill for the Season Five show. After that, NBC has said that Shakira and Usher will return for Season Six and as many seasons as they wish to participate, which is great news for those of who were doubters about them in the first place and have grown to love them as coaches this season.

Watch tonight's show for the two who get sent home, and a special performance by Fall-Out Boy, and last year's Top Singers Anthony David and Terry McDermott.

It's all comes down to this on "The Voice" Season Four.

Monday night, June 17, 8 pm Eastern/7 pm Central is the Finals with the talents of Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery, and The Swon Brothers. Should be a very good show, with Maroon 5 making a special appearance, once again.

Tuesday is the Results Show and The Voice Season 4 will be crowned.

Season Five in September brings back the two original coaches, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera. They are back for a one season shot and then Shakira and Usher will return next year for Season Six and however many seasons they want to be the coaches.

I really was apprehensive when Shakira was announced as one of the coaches for this season because in past years whenever she made appearances on shows where she was also interviewed, her English was very broken and she seemed inwardly shy. But was everyone wrong, who doubted her, and she brought us laughs, tears and just all around great fun bouncing off Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Usher.

We will see what having the "fat" man, and 'Miss Boobs-a-Lot' does for the competition, which was stellar this season, and you hated to see any one leave or not get picked for the show.

This time next week we will have a new "Voice" to talk about.

On the Results show this past Tuesday Tony Lucca, Terry McDermott, and Anthony David, all Season Three team mates, provided the music interludes, with the Top Five having one spotlight song.

Ratings: Tuesday’s Voice Hits Low
NBC’s The Voice hit a franchise low on Tuesday night, scoring a 2.7 demo rating while drawing 10.34 million total viewers — down 13 and 5 percent week-to-week.
http://tvline.com/2013/06/12/ratings-ma ... -premiere/

Of the remaining three, I prefer Danielle, although I don’t mind the Swons (the older/chubby one, I mean; don’t care for the other brother). I don’t want Michelle to win, but she has the most chance of beating Danielle, and it’s possible she will have an advantage with Blake’s two splitting the country vote and Usher getting Justin Bieber to ask his crazy fan girls to vote for her. Of course, the Swons could win randomly like Jermaine did two years ago.

Looking forward to seeing Cher and Christina perform.

Congratulations to Danielle Bradbery!

I'd rank the winners:

1. Javier Colon
2. Danielle Bradbery
3. Jermaine ? (I can't remember his surname.)
4. Cassadee Pope

Who knows if she'll actually take off or not in a genre where Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift already dominate--and also considering none of the winners have done anything noteworthy post-show so far--but I would like her to at least have a career along the lines of Kellie Pickler, sales-wise.

Jermaine Paul. :)

I'd probably rank them the same way, too. Had the privilege of watching Javier win live back in 2011, so he'll probably always be at the top of the list for me.

The season four Finale of "The Voice" is a distant memory now, but all of the great celebrities who participated in the show were very memorable except for one - Christina Aguilera (with no-talent Pitbull) looked out of sorts, she looked old, and her voice was very irritating. I am glad that I DVR'd the show so I could fast forward through the wasted acts, which were few, and watch a fairly great show.

Danielle Bradbery is the official "The Voice Season Four" winner, and will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, tonight. Will be DVRing this so I don't have to put up with Leno's shtick.

For me there were two great highlights, one was The Swon Brothers with Bob Seger singing "Night Moves", and the other was Michelle Chamuel sing with One Direction. Two fabulous moments in those contestants lives that will live forever.

Cher's appearance doing her new single "Woman's World" was pretty good, but you could tell she lip-synced the whole thing.

People, who shall remain nameless but know who you are, who only watch shows with good ratings are very simple-minded and have no connection with those talented people who go through a lot to get where they are going. Just because they have never heard of them afterwards shows their lack of knowledge of those who have won and are doing quite well without said person's support. NBC is not planning to do anything different with the show, because they have a very loyal audience, who don't judge shows by ratings, but by the entertainment provided. This year's "The Voice" had the best 12 finalists for the Live shows they have ever had, and it was heartbreaking to see each one be voted off.

I am very open minded to see how Christina and CeeLo Green will respond in kind this September for their farewell stints as coaches on The Voice. Shakira and Usher raised the bar pretty high this year and showed just how involved the coaches are with their teams all the way through the season. When Aguilera and Green were coaches, you didn't see or feel that involvement and if they maintain their "distant hands" attitude in Season Five everyone will see how poorly they have coached in the past and will welcome Usher and Shakira back for Season Six.

I agree, he'll probably always be at the top for me, too. I rarely ever get excited about male voices (which is biased of me, I know, but it's partly due to the fact that so many men on these shows have no range), but he had a very beautiful one.
