I prefer the Gold Collection cover:

or even the VHS one:

On the contrary, I prefer the art for The Sword in the Stone Special Edition DVD that the previous Gold Collection DVD or the VHS.

I've found a larger image on Walmart's website.

Honestly, I don't like it. The angle looks weird. It reminds me of the Gold Collection DVD.

I would have much preferred they used the 45th Anniversary edition DVD or the VHS cover.

I'm loving that cover. I wish Oliver got a new cover though. Bring on Hercules Disney.
Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.

Oh wow, I think that looks pretty great! Wasn't expecting something so new and different. And I love how simple it is. Rather than trying to cram a zillion characters on there, they've focused on what's important. Looks great.

Not a huge fan of the Robin Hood cover, but the one for The Sword in the Stone looks great. It may not quite fit the mood and style of the film, but I like the composition and Merlin's reflection on the sword.

The 45th Anniversary cover is very nice, but so is this cover, I would of liked to have some of the books and tea set swriling around, but that's just me.

We'll it's not the 50th Anniversary I would of liked it to be with audio commentaries, making of documentary, featurettes on T.H. White and the King Arthur legend, and trailers and tv spots, but getting a new alternate begining is pretty cool on Disney part of digging through the archives and finding that.

Just think, we've only heard one announcement for Q4 so far. Do you guys think we'll get more in the US before the end of the year?

Well, Wart does look a little off-model, but other than that, that's a pretty cool cover.

I think we'll at least get the Little Mermaid sequels, and Monsters University in November. I think the majority of Q4 will be the announced live action films, but I think that we'll get Hercules thrown into the mix somewhere around October maybe?

The Robin Hood cover is all right. But why do they never put the Sheriff of Nottingham on the cover? He should really be in there next to Sir Hiss and Prince John, I think. Move Little John to being behind Robin Hood's left shoulder and put the Sheriff down there, and it'd be perfect. The Sword in the Stone cover I'm just not a fan of. Merlin looks like he's staring right at Wart's crotch. It's bizarre.

The fact that neither are getting ANY special features doesn't surprise me. But it does irritate me. You're telling me they couldn't get someone like Andreas Deja to talk about the films or anything? C'mon...

I hope the transfers are spot on and have no problems. We'll see.

A new special feature on a Disney animated classic Blu Ray :jawdrop:

It's not much but it's a start

Also I like The Sword in The Stone art. Robin Hood is pretty good also.

Disney and their inconsistencies of having or not having new special features, you gotta love them :|
