So, What's your favorite of these?

Funny, that's exactly the phrase I've used twice in describing Treasure Planet to people this week.Jake Lipson wrote:it's the best thing they've done since The Lion King.
Oh, Treasure Planet is a GREAT movie. As I think you can tell from my Hercules DVD review for the site, I love Ron Clements and John Musker and have immense respect for them. All of their movies for Disney -- Treasure Planet included -- rank with my favorites, and I'm quite the TP supporter too. It's a REAL shame it didn't do well. The quality was definately there in spades -- I blame its failure on a bad release slot (I don't care if it was Thanksgiving, there's NO excuse for Disney putting it out when Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, their own The Santa Clause 2, and at least a dozen other movies were vying for the same family/kids/teens market) and terrible marketing. I thought the trailers were cool, but they played up the wrong aspects of what made the movie great. Anyway, I'm not going to bother to type out a rant on this topic because I know it'll keep me up till 3 am or so and will wear out my fingers from all the typing, but suffice to say I am VERY disappointed with the marketing of TP.awallaceunc wrote:Funny, that's exactly the phrase I've used twice in describing Treasure Planet to people this week.
