Anna & Elsa to Join the Disney Princess Line

According to Total Licensing Australia, Anna and Elsa will both join the Disney Princess franchise in 2014. Frozen will be released in Australia on December 26, 2013.

Well, that's kind of interesting. Not only will it be the first Disney movie where two characters from one movie join the franchise but also since one of them is kind of an antagonist, that's a bit new as well.

I see her at first being an AntiVillain then turns good in the end.Hey,Disney rarely has any antiVillains so I kinda of welcome the idea.I still have a hunch that Hans will be the true villain of the movie.

In fact, it is so far off the source material, it makes Pocahontas look historically accurate.

LOL agreed. the originally snow queen was a badass biotch who kidnapped a little boy and trapped him in her ice castle.......i don't see that character sitting alongside snow white at the tea parties haha

They are going to oversaturate the line at this rate. If this is true, it would mean that in the last 4 years, they would have had 5 new 'princesses' (Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Anna, Elsa).

Might as well add all the other female characters for the heck of it. Actually, I hope they do. It would be lovely if they didn't focus so excessively on the princesses, butchering them in the process.
