No seriously I stopped reading after a few pages....It's nowhere near the original story, so I can't see why they even bothered calling it Maleficent. I bet Angie did get a pretty large sum, otherwise she would have declined this awkward script. I love stories in which it is explained how evil characters have become who they are (can't wait to see Oz and the story of the wicked witch). After all, evil doesn't get born evil. But in this version Maleficent doesn't even take wrat on Aurora anymore....(I can see them making the character of Stephan more twisted, since he has to be the one Maleficent bares hate for)
Maleficent (Live-Action)
Maybe they should let Linda write the script for the new Star Wars movie

Having read this script when it was leaked onto IMDB about a month or so ago, and reading the analysis of it afterword, there's a substantial amount of evidence towards the fact that the script is fake. I mean, it could be real, but there are formatting issues and writing credits that you would RARELY find in a sold script. Additionally, there are some grammar mistakes that wouldn't be found in a real script. And there are also some scenes (of the very few) that we've seen them filming that contradict what's in that script.
I don't know who would waste their time going through the trouble of writing a fake full length script, but there's enough evidence to show that this won't be what we see in the finished movie.

I sure hope so. But I'm just going with it being real as not to be disappointed too much.lord-of-sith wrote:Having read this script when it was leaked onto IMDB about a month or so ago, and reading the analysis of it afterword, there's a substantial amount of evidence towards the fact that the script is fake. Earlier version perhaps? Really struggle to think why someone would spend so much time writing this for no real benefit.lord-of-sith wrote:Having read this script when it was leaked onto IMDB about a month or so ago, and reading the analysis of it afterword, there's a substantial amount of evidence towards the fact that the script is fake. So, remember when one fan put all the little info we got together and made a hypothesis of how the story would go? Well, did the script match that?
Blasphemy! And if their new names in that script are the same ones we heard about, they are even worse than their original names.WonderNeverOz wrote:One thing that I really like about the movie is that they didn't keep the 3 good fairies names. Those 3 "good" fairies cannot be named as merryweather, flora, fauna.....just no.
She liked the script. She said Linda Woolverton "cracked" how to tell Maleficent's story.Toky wrote:I bet Angie did get a pretty large sum, otherwise she would have declined this awkward script.

If the script that was leaked becomes anywhere near the final film, this film will make Mars Needs Moms look like The Lion King...

disneyboy20022, for some reason I can't send private messages. Would you mind sending me your email, so I can send you an email back? Thanks!
Reading how bad it is just makes me more curious to read it
Especially since the Alice in Wonderland script also leaked and a lot of people were convinced it was a fake, while in the end it was the real thing. So maybe this one is also real.

Money talks. If she's doing the movie she'll say whatever Disney wants her to say.Disney Duster wrote:She liked the script. She said Linda Woolverton "cracked" how to tell Maleficent's story.Toky wrote:I bet Angie did get a pretty large sum, otherwise she would have declined this awkward script.
I just have absolutely no faith in a Linda Woolverton script with a first time director.

I would be okay with the book of Wicked the Tale of the Wicked queen from Snow White. They should just convert that book into a movie instead of this horrible script of Maleficent if it is the final product.
It will make Batman and Robin look like Avatar.

The only thing I hate about these kinds of villain-focused films is--why do all the good characters have to be vilified to make the villain likable/good? It just comes across like bad fanfiction.
I would be fine just watching a character's descent into the villain we know.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ "Elizabeth Taylor"
Katy Perry ~ "bandaid"
Meghan Trainor ~ "Still Don't Care"

let's hope this cuz if this is the universal reaction the script gets even here, it'll be universally crapped on all the way from the cinema to the video store.lord-of-sith wrote:Having read this script when it was leaked onto IMDB about a month or so ago, and reading the analysis of it afterword, there's a substantial amount of evidence towards the fact that the script is fake. Disney has moved the release date for Maleficent from March 14th to July 2nd, 2014. This gives it a more high-profile release date, putting it right on independence day weekend. They must have a lot of faith in the movie!
