Hostess (Makers of Ding Dong and Twinkies) is No More

Thanks to the selfish people who went on strike, others are out of a job and many people are out of their favorite snacks. There is a rumor however that Twinkies may survive the bankruptcy.

Although I am very sad so many people have lost jobs because of this, at the same time I'm not going to put the blame on people who strike for the rights they deserve.
The world would be a better place if countries like China had unions to fight for their workers. Not to say that unions can't be corrupted just like anything else, but I'd rather take that risk than a business that gets to set whatever wage they decide is best.
Because businesses would always be fair to their workers when they're not held responsible.carolinakid wrote:The union killed Hostess. That's what they do....

At a Judge's request, there is going to be a Mediation between Hostess and the Union Workers.

Also, if the president wants to win over a lot of Americans, we should bail Hostess out.

Good. Now it can help reduced obesity and fat-fucks from plaguing our country.

Obama's base? lol, OK.carolinakid wrote:That's half of Obama's base! And fat Walmart shoppers.
But with such a large percentage of American's overweight I don't think any candidate can afford to lose the fat vote.

Obama's base? Are you fucking kidding me? Majority of high obesity rate is located in the south like Louisiana or Alabama. Do your research before sprouting nonsense claims.carolinakid wrote:That's half of Obama's base! And fat Walmart shoppers.Super Aurora wrote:Good. According to US News and World Report US obesity rates are highest in blacks and Hispanics and the poor. Even MSNBC says that's Obama's "coalition". The only Obama supporters who are majority fit are the gay community. Don't know the obesity rate among single women, but if they're poor odds are they're gonna be obese.

I wonder why blacks and Hispanics and the poor (that almost feels redundant) could be fat? I know the poor are largely more stressed and depressed, usually with more children, and less able to buy healthy foods, but what could the reason be…?
But let’s face it--the majority of this country is fat. If a Republican took office, half their base would be fat, too. Because there are more lower class than upper class.

Bingo. Also why the fuck does carolinakid felt need to bring up Obama and politics into this discussion? Don't tell me me you're still butthurt over the election? pathetic. We have a politic thread you know.Disney's Divinity wrote:I wonder why blacks and Hispanics and the poor (that almost feels redundant) could be fat? Also even though those races are ones suffer it the most, look where they mostly are populated in. The south:

notice were all the most liberal states like NJ, MA, NY, CA etc have the least whereas the most conservative and red states have the most. If I have to guess the reason for this, it's mostly for the fact that the southern states are ranked the least well educated states whereas the north like NJ and NY are ranked most educated.
Education is the key point and importance that can affect and change.

It's official. Hostess is bankrupt. I bet whoever buys it will continue the Twinkies and Ho-Ho's will continue the brand.
