In one week, it comes out. This is cool news.
Your favorite Peanuts stories come to life in this animated television series. Adapted from the popular comic strip created and written by Charles M. Shultz, "The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show" is no longer a cartoon relegated to Saturday mornings of the past - now you can watch the gang anytime! With short sketches featuring these classic and much-loved characters, it's easy to "have a party with Charlie Brown and Snoopy," as the theme song says. The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show originally aired in 1983 and 1985 and was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1983.

Much of the show's run has already been released into stores on themed "best-of" DVDs, but now the Warner Archive Collection is preparing to release The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show - The Complete Series as an MOD (manufacture on demand) title. Available in one week, on November 20th, to U.S. customers from WBshop.com (see button link below), it will also be available in the near future to global fans via Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program. Cost is $29.95 SRP, and you can pre-order it right now using the button link immediately below. Under that is a picture of the packaging. Don't forget that this Thursday (11/15) marks what would have been the 96th birthday of the late Bill Melendez, who produced the series and also provided the "voice" of both Snoopy and Woodstock.

I just bought this, and despite what the packaging says, these aren't Made On Demand discs. They seem to be actual manufactured discs. The discs may have been made for a more conventional release then switched to the Warner Archives line rather than distributed in stores.

Yeah. It seems Warner Archive is starting to do some releases with factory-pressed discs. The same thing can be said about The Snorks Season 1 (which FYI, are the original broadcast versions).
