Post by Barbossa »

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. The message board seems to be very slow to load the last couple days. Anyone experiencing the same?

Yes, I've been having the same problem. Today seems to be particularly slow to load.

I'm not experiencing the same thing. Want to ping www.dvdizzy.com and e-mail me your results? I will send them into my host and they can figure this out for us. Thanks.
How to Ping a Website

If you are having problems resolving your website, you can ping it to see if it is a problem with your server, or if there is a problem somewhere in the internet as the connection travels from your computer's internet access through to the domain in question.

Here is how to Ping

1. From the desktop, click start
2. Select Run
3. In the Run box, type command
4. Click OK
5. The DOS window will pop up. At the C:\WINDOWS> prompt type ping www.yourdomainname.com and press enter.
6. You will see some results pass through the screen.
7. It will tell you if there were any packets lost in the transfer (0% loss is what you want to see).
8. It will also tell you the average speed, in milliseconds.
9. To close the DOS window, type exit at the C:\WINDOWS> prompt and press enter.

It was terribly slow before my weekend break, but now it's as fast as ever.

Maybe it was slow in the morning- but I was on here from like 2AM to 5 and it was normal or fast. I've also been on the last 2 hours and it's also at normal speed.

When exactly was it slow? 8AM? 10? Noon?
