The Disney Database goes live!

Post by Jens »

After 3 months of hard work I have finally put "The Disney Database" online. It doesn't have much content now (the Live Action movies are not added yet and some content for the animated movies is missing too) but we will try to add content every day (and I'm sure we will!). For more information click on the link below :)

I really like the overall layout and design of it. Very classy looking and it seems in time it'll have mountains of info for virtually everything Disney. I sent you an e-mail about contributing to your Alice page. :D

I really like how you get to show your country's flag in the Forums. very cool, as well as the gender logo thingamabob. It removes confusion on where your coming from and if your sex is adding to a biased opinion. I wish Luke could add those in this forum, although I would assume that means you'd have to essentially redo the Forum...?

That involves editing a forum page (installing a "mod"). If Luke agrees with this, here's the site where you can downloda them:

I'm going to register as well, and I'll be very glad to help you - be it with info on the production of the films or on the DVDs themselves.

While it's a nice idea, it also means 'more.' More bandwidth and more load time. Perhaps also more information than we need. As it is, we have the location field and you can tell most users' genders. Do we need to see their country and gender with every post? Does it make a difference? Probably not, I think.

Luke, in my opinion, you already need to update your version of the fórum (the new version of the phpbb have these enhacements on it)
Im not so sure, but the enhacements, like the flags and sex specification, doesno´t consume so much resources of you web service.
