Final Treasure?

Post by Ciaobelli »

Do you think Disney will make a special "Final Treasure"?
If so, speculate what it will be and what it will look like.

Why it will be Cinderella 2 and Hunchback of Notre Dame 2, obviously. They're saving the best until last!
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Ciaobelli, chill! I'm not even sure how to speculate on this... can you clarify exactly what you're asking?

I am not asking for anything specific, I know I'm not asking for cheapquels. My question is, if they make a final treasure what would you put in it? What would it look like? etc...

I think by the time it is time for a last treasure, Snow White will have been OOP for oh so very long. My version of the final treasure would be the customary treasure tin (don't want to change it like they keep changing the names of special edition dvds) with cover art of the original poster for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Contents:

- The free exclusive mini poster would be another SW movie poster from one of the many decades it had been rereleased (buy multiple copies to try and collect all 8!)
- The content would be the same as the platinum edition, as there seems to be nothing else to top this DVD.
- I guess it would be cool to add in more footage of SW and the dwarfs at the parks and television, including:
~ gallery of parade appearances, post cards, park merchandise, shows, and pins!
~ The clips or a making of the stage show "Snow White: An Enchanting New Musical" or whatever its called.
~ Ride-throughs of all 5 park versions of the ride (DL, WDW, DLP, TDL, HKDL)
~ House of Mouse episode with SW. I know there's one where she speaks (by Russis Taylor, who usually is Minnie!)
~ a clip of when SW presented an award at the 1993 Oscars.
~ The Full House episodes when they went to WDW. Snow White had lines!
~ The Silly Symphonies and Mickey Cartoons used to practice for SW

Okay, after making this list, maybe it should expand to a four disc set, double tin!

Although I would love to see everything from Disney eventually released, I am surprised that these tins have gone on this long. They were originally released in December of 2001, and promoted as being a limited collection in celebration of Walt's 100th birthday (in December 1901). Here it is 2004, how long are they going to be celebrating his 100th?

Short answer. As long as it's financially rewarding. And it looks like this year's (or should that be last year's) have been more successful than ever!

I've searched extensively online for pictures and found nothing. The first time I saw it was during the 25th or 50th anniversary of abc and they did a montage of clips of presenters from the academy awards. I have this show on tape, but I don't know how to transfer it to the computer. I was surprised to see her, and did't recognize her at first but after rewinding and pausing, one could tell it is her. In the Disney A to Z book, Dave Smith mentions that she and Belle, Beast, Buzz, and Woody (and MIckey with his grandpa glasses) have presented in multiple years.

I don't think there will be an ultimate final Treasure for a multitude of reasons, mainly te fact that you never really want to close the door on a profitable venture.

However, if theye did choose to go this rpoute I wouldn't mind seeing a historical analysis of Disney and Disney Studios. How their animation efforts shaped a generation of professionals and children alike. Also this could delve into the past present and future of the Disney entity incl. the Theme Park ventures.

I cant imagine a final treasure in itself, because most other stuff would have been released. I can see a final wave though, and they could really market that big by saying collect this final wave of treasures while you can because this is the end.

Thanks. Was it an animated Snow White or a costumed character?

Pez, I agree. The final wave is more likely, and it will be great for marketing. After all, a final treasure would have be in a wave of its own, right? That's sort of unlikely.

Thanks, Joe. She looks a little weird there, almost like a taller Betty Boop.
