Revenge is Sweet

FUCKING awesome payback!
Quote:
Revolution Muslim website hacked in retaliation for targeting South Park creators

The Muslim website, Revolution Muslim based in New York City, has been hacked in retaliation for the fact that the website targeted South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone over of two recent episodes that satirized the Prophet Muhammad. Currently, Revolution Muslim's website is down.

The hack was first noticed Wednesday night and lasted for a brief period of time. According to Gawer.com, the hackers managed to redirect Revolution Muslim's website to another website called Revolution Islam. When a visitor went to Revolution Muslim's website they were redirected to images of Prophet Muhammad with a bomb on his head and an older Muslim man kissing a young boy passionately.

Also on Wednesday night, the controversial images and audio relating to Prophet Muhammad were censored out by the television station that airs South Park -- Comedy Central.

Revolution Muslim -- before the hack -- had a post up by one of the group's members, Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee, which read:

We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid, and they will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.

Looks pretty petty to me. In fact, that could be creepy and/or insulting to a lot of people.

If they are going to hack anyone....maybe they should have hacked...oh I dunno....Comedy Central. They are the ones who bended over backwards. People have uproars all the time over different things. Its up to the company to make a final decision. Its kinda like when the husband has a mistress and the wife blames the mistress.

Revolution Muslim still has a blog up and I managed to read a couple of posts (these are scary little shits that want America dead). It's irony that these radicals are allowed to use their right to free speech to make death threats but Matt and Trey are denied their right to free speech by Comedy Central. Siren is right on this one, F**K Comedy Central for throwing Matt and Trey under the bus. Terrorism only works if you let it affect your choices or scare you and Comedy Central's actions are only empowering these nuts.

So Comedy Central changed their mind about airing it uncut? On Friday, Yahoo! said they were going to air it uncut / without the religious censorship.

Matt and Trey censored it some, but then Comedy Central added more "beeps" before they aired the episode (The long beeps at the end of episode where the characters "learn something today" were added by Comedy Central). They also pulled the replay later that night. The last two episodes, 200, and 201, along with Super Best Friends from Season 5 have been pulled on the South Park Studios site too.

It's true Comedy Central deserve same harassment, but since these terrorist group were ones who BAAAAWWW and rage over a cartoon show that not even from an Islamic country and started it by getting extremely butthurt, they deserve to be troll to the max. Basically we're telling the that group, "don't underestimate the power of the internet. Anon does not forgive, anon does not forget."

Comedy central were pussies, but the terrorist were f-ing douchebags.

If some group threatens to hurt/kill/whatever employees of the company, I can understand that Comedy Central is being cautious.

The group weren't doing any threatening, it is just the weasel words used to escape being labelled as such. Merely pointing out that "someone" would probably get them for doing that, but they would deny any culpability in being blamed for said action, it would be on Matt and Trey's heads for producing that episode.

It is curiously sarcastic of the group to use a right of free speech to say this when in many Muslim countries, such a right is denied...

From what I've read, the NYPD was very much alert of Revolution Muslim (and their activities) quite a while before the threat (or warning) was made and were taking appropriate action. After the threat (or warning), Comedy Central beefed up security, this was in addition the the NYPD already keeping an eye on them.

After all that, I think it was an inappropriate action to bleep out Muhammad's name, purely out of cowardice. Easy for me to say as I wasn't the one being threatened by group known for carrying out threats, but we really need to take the repercussions of their actions into consideration. As I said before, terrorism can only exist if you let it affect you or you make your fear known. Now that Comedy Central bent over for these jerks, they've empowered them (and many more like them) to just repeat the action since they know it yields results. No one cared about Muhammad until the Dutch newspaper debacle that has spurred a wave a imitators just repeating this intimidation tactic (due to it's success). Since then we've taken a giant leap backwards in free speech and have started self censoring Muhammad out of fear (something we never did in the years before).

Super Best Friends has been taken down (for years there was no problem with that episode), that's a big step backward for free speech and a giant leap forward for intimidation and fear.

I can't. That's what the police, FBI, and CIA are for. To stop terrorists. If they got death threats, then they should report them. Do we stop flying airplanes because the Taliban has and continues to threaten to use our own airlines as weapons?

This is about not letting terrorists win by changing our lives to follow their orders.

I am NO fan of South Park. But I am very disappointed in Comedy Central bending over for these radicals. What next? Don't use the word "abortion" because a Christian group threatens to kill someone?

I want to be a fan of South Park but that show will always have a classic push-and-pull of genius and utter, pointless idiocy.

No need to use those words. You can make your point without mysogynistic slurs.

Danish newspaper debacle. I know Americans think Amsterdam is the capital of Denmark, but...

The irony is that we're already doing that. We have already changed our lives drastically. We don't any longer take drinks onto airplanes out of fear that the liquid may be explosive. We install bodyscanners at airports that violate the personal integrity of our bodies just because some nutcase wanted to blow up a plane with his underwear. We accept that the intelligence agencies wade through our telephone and e-mail conversations and wiretap us, even if they don't have the smallest indication that we are involved in terrorist activities. They are just data-mining for the sake of it. We.. er.. you have accepted that the FBI can break into your house when you're not home, search the place and then never inform you on it... That's legal for them to do under the Patriot Act.

We give up more and more freedom and privacy every day. Not because it's actually helping one iota in stopping terrorists. We can stop them by, what I believe Al Gore called "good old-fashioned police work". That's the way they got the 1993 WTC bombers. Nowadays, it's mainly used as an excuse of our governments to get more and more control over us. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. The sad thing is that people only are speaking out against "changing our lives" when it comes to something as trivial as their favorite tv show.

Kinda funny, I was watching Mewtwo Return(sequel to the first Pokemon movie) and Mewtwo ask a very important question that I think is still an important question even now(especially over this topic):

Which is more important- Your safety...or your freedom?
