Actually its not 100% finished. the animation is, but not the film itself. I think their still going to tweak a few things here and there. even the print Lee says he's showing to Tom Hanks soon is discribed as "nearly finished".
They probably still need to lock down the audio mix too.

Also, I believe the commentaies for most new movies are always recorded this much in advance.

You're right about that, but the sound mixing and foley work usually take a couple of days to weeks to finish. Plus, Randy Newman has to write and record the score to the finished film. So technically, Disney will probably have the finished product sitting in the vault by April or May.

Recording dates for commentaries are also rather unpredictable. Sometimes it's done months in advance and other times, they're done a few days after release.

Unkrich has also screened the nearly-complete movie to Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Don Rickles (Potato Head), Jodi Benson (Barbie), Michael Keaton (Ken) and Jeff Garlin (Buttercup).

He's not being more specific other than "smiles all around." Guess they really liked it.

I love how the second ad uses the same song that was played in the original theatrical trailer for Toy Story. A nice nod to the old-school fans.

Is the first video actually a clip of the movie (I know the end is, but is all of it?)?

New TS3 Characters: Meet Chunk and Chatter Telephone!

The 3 Peas in a Pod must be counted as individual characers, huh, since if you count them individually (and don't count Woody & Buzz), the characters add up to 14, as mentioned?:

I love those shorts before the movies. I almost look forward to those just as much as the movie itself! Loved the one in front of Wall-E -- Presto. Day & Night looks super cute too!

I love that feeling, sitting waiting for the Pixar film to start and then a short plays first and I think, "OH YEAH! THERE'S A SHORT! YAYY!"

Why does that bookworm incredibly familiar? I swear I've seen that exact same type of worm in some other cartoon? And then, I hit me. Wasn't that exact same cartoon character on Tiny Toons?
