Animated Classics SURVIVOR - Round 16

Post by AwallaceUNC »

Last round, we had another VERY close vote! For the second time, Peter Pan barely escaped expulsion, by only 3 votes.

So far, the films voted off are..
Round 1 - The Three Cabelleros, The Aristocats, Oliver & Company, The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Round 2 - Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Saludos Amigos, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Treasure Planet
Round 3 - Make Mine Music, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Hercules
Round 4 - Melody Time, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Sword In The Stone, The Rescuers Down Under
Round 5 - Fun & Fancy Free, Robin Hood*
Round 6 - The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound
Round 7 - Fantasia 2000, Mulan
Round 8 - Dumbo, Pocahontas
Round 9 - The Emperor's New Groove, Lilo & Stitch
Round 10 - Brother Bear, Fantasia
Round 11 - Tarzan, Bambi
Round 12 - Alice In Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians
Round 13 - The Jungle Book**
Round 14 - Lady and the Tramp
Round 15 - Cinderella

Recap:

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the Disney Animated Classic (see the list http://www.ultimatedisney.com/ultimateclassics.htm ) that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least! At the end of the 2 days, I'll come on here and announce who got voted off, and a new thread will start for the 17th round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire.

The ONE movie that receives the most votes will be kicked off each week, UNTIL we are down to the final 2 (not the final 5, as originally posted), then it will change up some!

We are well into the final 11 now!! Therefore, only one movie will be voted off each round!!!

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these remaining movies:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio
Peter Pan
Sleeping Beauty
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King

Reminder: Please post your vote alone in bold, as this makes it easier for me.

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Saturday, May 1st.

*Round 5 marked the transition from voting off 4 movies per every 3 days to voting off 2 movies per every 2 days.
**Round 13 marked the beginning of the final 11, in which the transition was made from voting off 2 movies per every 2 days to only 1 movie per every 2 days.

I vote off Peter Pan again. I must express my EXTREME frustration at Cinderella's departure so early on. It's one of my all-time favorites, and one that I view as one Disney's most classic of classics. :( Pete, your time has come.

Jimmy, can you delete one of those votes, so I don't mistakenly count it twice (even though I'm sure you'd like me too ). Those double posts happen to every one from time to time. Thanks. :)

Peter Pan, again. :headshake:

Looks like my all-time favourite, Peter Pan is going out. :(

Once again, the only movie I have an interest in voting off right now, is Beauty And The Beast

Peter Pan
I was actually going to vote for a different movie this round, but in the interest of ensuring Snow White will be around, I have to show Peter the door.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

:)

I wanted a fairy tale gone, but I have one more complaint: The wrong one got booted off last time! Here's hoping this vote saves another deserving classic! I'm just kidding. All the movies left are good.
