Dreams

Post by rsandcm1 »

The other day my mother, my sister and I were discussing some of the weird dreams we've had. Trust me, I've had some of the strangest ones ever. I am just curious what your weird dreams are?

I have really normal dreams. It's not that fun. But they're vivid, and when I wake up, I forget them. lol

Well, I usually don't remember my dreams, but the ones I can remember are really strange.

When I was younger I had a dream about Candyland (the boardgame, not actual candy). I've also had a dream of the Rosanne cast in a horror film. And I had one, when my parents had to watch a TV near my bedroom (because the one in the living room had broken), with the script of Face/Off played out by Peter Pan, Wendy, me and a killer teddy bear.

For years I've had dreams involving my daughter in the future even though I don't have any kids yet! I can clearly picture her face and hair. . . gonna be freaky if I end up actually having a daughter that looks like her! :o

I've also had many, many dreams where I possess the ability to fly at will. Typically no one else in my dreams have that ability and I must keep it secret (strangely enough, I find it wonderful yet rather embarrassing). Flying must be done in a specific way and takes a lot of concentration to keep from floating off in the air or crashing into something.

I actually wrote down two dreams I had lately, since I found them highly entertaining!

A few nights/mornings ago, I had a dream, and it was set in a ballroom that was just like the ballroom scene in "Enchanted" but with the Queen from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and Maleficent. Maleficent turned into a dragon, and the Queen got large and turned into something. I think the Queen retreated, though. It looked just like the ballroom!

And then the next night/morning, I dreamt that Corbin Bleu had recently gotten married and it was all over the news/magazines. I was shocked. His wife was a singer who sang the hooks on rap songs (like Ashanti used to).

When I was little, I had recurring dreams/nightmares (they were kind of a mix of both) about Mickey and the Giant and Beetlejuice. Those were separate dreams, though- Mickey and the Giant would be in some dreams, and Beetlejuice would be in some dreams. I remember that the Beetlejuice dreams included the roller coaster-type mine-ride-type "thing" that was in the opening to his cartoon.

Last night/this morning, I had an interesting dream that seemed real. So real that I wrote it down! :p

I was on a bus, and didn't know where to get off. I think I was asking the opinion of other passengers. Either before or after this, I was outside on a curb waiting for a bus, maybe not knowing where to go. I ended up in Corbin Bleu's apartment, and he had a trashy girlfriend who, in my dream, I recognized as someone from TV. They were being touchy-feelyish, and I wasn't impressed. I was back on a bus, and I met a girl. We ended up in my parents' driveway in the van, and cops (or just angry neighbors) were waiting for her. She was in trouble for drugs or something. I was in the driveway, but I think at times maybe on an escalator or something, trying to hide my tattoos from my parents, but I had an open-backed shirt on...hahaha.

And that was my dream. It was better in dream form than it sounds. :p

Well, there's this one dream that I remember I had as a little kid.
Ok, so my family was shopping in CVS, and for some reason there were giant TV's on sale. So, I wandered away from them to take a closer look, and lo and behold, Darth Vader comes out of it with his lightsaber. He (naturally) swung it at me. I scream and run away, but now I'm magically in some random person's cart. They don't seem to recognize my presence, so I jump out and go outside to look for my parents' car. In the hallway between the sliding doors, I see thousands of Star Wars posters. I'm in the parking lot, but their car isn't there. Then I hear the lightsaber powering up again, and I scream. Then I wake up.
Weird, huh?

Funny I posted in this thread two years ago...

Anyway, within the past week, even this past year, I've noticed having dreams come more often, and a little less vividly. I can remember my dreams for a little while, then I forget about them. This is an abnormal dreaming-pattern for me. I rarely dream, and when I do, the stuff is usually so vivid I still get mental pictures of the dream that lasts for years on (although, to be fair, I get mental pictures of dreams other people have described to me as well).

I think it's due to stress, as I've mentioned in other threads, my life has just taken a whole new direction for me, and I'm still adjusting to it, trying to pick out the good and the bad. Also, my sleeping patterns are really screwed up, too. One night I went to bed at 5 o'clock in the afternoon! I woke up at 2:30 and stayed up. Last night I went to bed at eight and woke up this morning at three, which was unusually early for the time I went to bed...

Today was great, a nice, relaxing, rejuvenating day that I've been wanting for sooooo long, that I think I'll have better sleep and better dreams tonight. Crossing my fingers!

I think I was. It was probably the Empire Strikes Back, cause that's how I usually picture Darth Vader.

I hardly remember my dreams, but I have 'em. In fact, I get de-ja vu a lot.

I have dreams too. Usually I let Van Halen play it for me in my head.

I love dreams! :D I have one almost every night. Sometimes I remember them for a long time and sometimes I forget them during the next day, but most of them are Disney dreams, video game dreams such as Nintendo, or just random, weird dreams.

I remember a dream not too long ago when me, Taran, Gurgi, and a friend were hanging around my treehouse. Taran and Gurgi appeared in the real world in their animated looks like the cartoons from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. There were two talking dogs outside arguing, a Beagle being pulled on a leash by a Dalmatian. The Beagle was eating everything that he came across on the ground. The black cauldron was kept in my treehouse, and we all hung out and chatted until the cauldron started to rumble. In a panic, we retreated from the treehouse and the cauldron exploded. When we returned, the cauldron was in pieces. It was a little ironic because if the black cauldron really did explode, the whole treehouse would have exploded too. Anyway, a little boy comes up the ladder to look in the treehouse and asks us, "What happened here?" I told him, "I think you don't need to know." Taran just smiled snugly from the window. I loved that experience so much that I wrote down what happened right after I woke up. That's why I remember it so well.

There was another dream where I was in a flashy mall with my sister and grandpa, eating McDonalds with disco lights flashing. When I was outside the mall, I saw a weird movie poster with Taran standing all shocked with paintball splatter all over him. Later I was in a zoo in a jungle valley, standing on a pier elevated high off the ground. There were Heartless from Kingdom Hearts standing around, but I didn't want to fight them. So I used some kind of item to turn invisible and sneak past them. When I turned visible again, there were zookeepers working, but they never noticed me. I was trying to get out of this exotic zoo, but there was no escape.

One dream had me and the four main characters from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe going to a theater out in a snowy land. I don't remember the movie, but there were Disney characters sitting there. I don't remember all of them but I know that Gaston was one of them. Just when the movie was about to start, Maleficent cranks a switch up in the balcony and everything turns dark. The audience puts on masks and we get out of there! After that happened, we went to go get some fried chicken.

A dream that I will always remember though, was a dream where I was at a barbeque cookout. That place had all of the meat you could imagine. Steak, pork, seafood, chicken, you name it! I have the ability in my dreams to actually taste food. I'm not kidding you. I ate so much delicious food that when I woke up, I felt like I had food in my stomach. That was so awesome.

I could tell more and more dreams, but I don't want to make this post too long, so I'll tell more later. I look forward to having a dream every night. My way of getting one is to drink a soft drink, brush my teeth, and then go to bed. Caffeine doesn't keep me up at night. It almost guarantees a dream every time.

I have weird dreams, although I can't recall many right now.

I've been able to fly in them every now and then.

On occasion, I've been able to re-enter a dream if I woke up. I sometimes manage 3-4 times doing that. A lot of times when that happens, I have a little knowledge that I'm dreaming, and that I can do things frowned upon in RL, or I can alter the dream itself a little.

I dreamed up a food one time, and I managed to write it down. I'm actually going to try to make it one of these days.
Bacon -wrapped Shrimp!
It was a cracker of some sorts, an apple slice, a piece of shrimp, bacon wrapping the whole thing, and amaretto sauce on it!

I love dreams as well! I sometimes have normal dreams, but most of the time they're weird and make me laugh once I think about them. And what I try to do is if I like the dream and want to remember it, when I first wake up still kind of sleeping, I write down notes on a piece of paper, and later it all comes back to me. The problem is sometimes I'll write something that makes no sense whatsoever. Like sometimes it has to do with philosophy...

But one of my favourite dreams has got to be one I had about three years ago, and I won't get into great detail because I don't want to bore anyone, but some of the main things in it were: flying seals that were actually monkeys who laid eggs in nests on palm trees, public speaking in Spainish (although I have no idea how to speak Spanish), a cobra that turned into four butterflies once I slashed it, raining mustard, and the power to fast-forward time! It was so much fun!

Odd dream...

I was in a hilly, forested area, and my dad was talking to my "arch enemy", while walking up the hill, about something I did when I was a little kid, which was going up to the top of the house and trying to connect the stars (?). I was walking some ways away from them, but I could hear and watch what they were saying, and I couldn't do anything because what my dad was saying was true...

But in reality it wasn't, and I don't know why I dreamed that up...

Interesting...

 I think I find this so funny because it's such a normal thing to do after watching a movie with Disney characters... :p

Do you even know how jealous I am of you right now?!?!? OMG, I WISH I could do this; it sucks when you're having an awesome dream and you wake up!!! Good for you! :)
