Ultimate Disney Treasure Chest

Post by richc »

does anyone know if this set is a limited release? because as far as i can tell, it's not numbered (like the regular treasure sets) and it doesn't come in the standard tins. and for those who don't know, this is a box set that contains all 7 of the previously released walt disney treasures, but minus the tin and i think it only has the dvd's. you can probably find the individual sets being sold on ebay because they'll be described as not having the tin case, but are still factory sealed, etc.

This has been discussed several times before, but since you are fairly new, I suppose I can't let it slide  ...

The Treasure Chest does indeed include all seven previously released treasure, still factory sealed, but does not include the tins or the art which was a bit annoying since the art is advertised on the back of the dvd case... oh well...

The dvd's included in the Treasure Chest are actually numbered. They were from tins that were damaged or that just did not sell and were shipped back and repackaged in the box sets, so they sre among the ----- limited numbers... Infact I believe the actual number (be it 012,347 out of 250,000) is on the tape that seals the dvd case closed at the top....

Hope this helps. :)

Where did you get your information? If the DVDs in the treasure chest are "still factory sealed", why don't they include the art? They wouldn't take the art out of the case and then re-factory seal the case.

I don't remember the DVDs being numbered on the sticker seal. But I could have missed it.

I don't think the numbers on the tape seal at the top of the DVD case, indicates the edition number. I have some of the Disney Treasure DVDs that I haven't gotten around to watching yet, (therefore they are still sealed) and I looked at the numbers at the top...they are all sequentially numbered which would indicate a catalog number, not an edition size.
This is what you would normally see on any seal on a DVD case.
