8000 Reasons to Love Disney

Post by Escapay »

This is Topic 8000 in Disney Discussion, so let's discuss 8000 things that we enjoy about Disney! I'll start...

1. Disney Animated Classics - obviously, most of us wouldn't be here if we didn't like them. Some of my favourites include Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, and Pocahontas. What are yours?

2. The Rocketeer - 'nuff said.

3. Disney DVD & Blu-Ray - regardless which format you choose, and regardless how awesome or lousy some of the treatment is by WDSHE, we come here to talk about them.

Please, no arguing about stuff like DVD vs. Blu or Walt-Era vs. Non-Walt Era or Disney Channel Today vs. Disney Channel Yesteryear. This is not about saying "my Disney was better than yours and so my opinion is better than yours!". This is about all of us coming together in one thread to share all the things we love that's Disney. Just add to the list of things we LOVE and ENJOY about Disney, or comment on something already listed. :)

(Mods, please don't move this to Polls & Games, otherwise it wouldn't be Topic 8000!)

17. Glen Keane - One of the best animators ever!
18. Donald Duck comic books - probably forgotten in the US, eagerly read in Europe

27. "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" - one of the creepiest songs I've ever heard. I still get chills, 20 years after I first heard it, when the 3rd pig sings, "I'll be safe and you'll be sorry, when the wolf comes to your door."

46. Mushu! - The greatest of all the Disney movie side kicks is a little red dragon from "Mulan."

47. California Adventures - This "failure" of a theme park would be most people's success!

48. Pirates of the Caribbean (movies and the ride) - Who has been excited to go to Disneyland to ride this classic ride? And then they made amazing movies based of the ride? This just ahs to be on the list!

49. Ducktales - The best of the best! This is the cartoon that built up the TV Animation department in the late 80's/ early 90's.

50. Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland - Possibly THE BEST ride (if not one of the best) in Disneyland, this ride will always make you feel like a little kid!
