I agree with you, Disney Duster. That was easily the best concept art I've seen for the film. Only thing is that she reminds me of the teacher from Saved by the Bell everytime I look at that picture. But she still looks beautiful there.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

Rapunzel
I don't remember a female teacher in Saved By the Bell, but I am so glad you like that picture the most, too!

I have no idea why we're talking about that here, but thanks for sharing that, enigmawing!!! I've seen the episodes (for those of you who don't know, the episodes with Max & Nikki, and, well, Ms. Bliss, are aired as "Saved By the Bell", but those are from the original version), but only with the "Saved By the Bell" intro. What a boring intro, though.

I'm a fan of disney on facebook, nd exlusive Mandy Moore will voice Rapunzel, she spoke to rotten tomatos about it, i'm not really sure if i'm excited about this or not, but she does a have a sweet voice, so i think she will make a good Rapunzel.....

Rapunzel
So she auditioned for the role! I guess she did that of her own accord, they didn't ask her to audition? But it makes me feel better they saw what she would be like as the character before they chose her as the character!

As for the oncoming Rapunzel, it continues to ramp up toward full-bore, pedal-to-the-medal production. One staffer said to me:
"I saw the new story reels today. The picture has improved a lot since the last time I saw it, twelve weeks ago at the last screening. The directors have done a good job with it.
"Sometimes story reels change but don't get any better. This time it's gotten better ..."
I had an animator show me some animation of Rapunzel's love interest, a swashbuckling kind of guy with a swashbuckling name. (Won't reveal it since I don't think it's out yet, but think "Famous screen swordsman.")
And then from the comments section:
Re Flynn Ryder: The animation was quite good, but it was done by an excellent animator.
(They haven't finalized costume so Mr. Ryder was wearing the equivalent of a digital t-shirt.)
So, Flynn's last name is apparently Ryder.

So his name's Flynn Ryder? I like it.
When it said "Famous screen swordsman," the first thing I thought was Zorro for some reason. And I was, "Now that can't be right..."

I've noticed there doesn't seem to be much excitement for this movie. Its IMDb board is pretty much dead and Disney is not giving it any kind of push (at the moment). Even when you hear people talking about it, more often than not it's followed by "But it's CG so I don't care" or something like that. For comparison, PatF's IMDb board has been extremely active ever since they announced it back in 2006, way before there were any trailers or concept art.
