Well, now I must eat crow. I'm really sorry, I thought you were a flamer (I skip over the fights but I see your name). I must say that you were a good sport. :) Just to be safe, I would advise that we try to stray away from any sort of DVD/BD discussion, because a light-hearted joke could lead to more... and because I think that most of the people in the BD/DVD debates are not exactly the maturest folks on the forum.

I'll get excited when I find out what's on it. My original platinum is mint and is so loaded with great features I can't imagine how it could be improved. If there are sufficient additional great supplements I'll consider double dipping. I have no interest in the blu ray. I'm still a 100% dvd person.

Where are the Snow White Betamax or the Snow White Capacitance Electronic Disc threads? (my parents used to have a CED player, that's why I'm asking  )

As I said in the other thread, I'm tempted to outdo the Blu-Ray thread and start a Snow White Sold-State thread. 8) I hope solid state takes off after Blu-Ray. That will mean no more mechanical parts in our players!

I still love my old Platinum DVD; I'm sure the latest one will be just as stacked with extras as the Blu. :)

Does anyone know if SNOW WHITE will be having a theatrical run at the El Capitan as part of the DVD/Blu celebration? It deserves to. :)

I'm looking forward to the DVD version for now, and the Blu-Ray version when I actually have a player and HDTV.

Same here. I have a 32" HDTV for my room (where I watch 99% of all my DVDs) and I'm hoping to have a Blu-Ray player by the end of the year. I'm still deciding what to do - if I should buy the Blu-Ray in October and watch the DVD disc to hold me over until November, or if I should just wait until November to buy the DVD (the DVD's release date also makes me wonder whether or not both editions will be on sale on Black Friday or just the Blu-Ray version).

Why would ano f them be on sale on black friday? With the 10 dollar off ocupon you could pick the blu up for 12-14 dollars on release
