Yeah, Disney better watch out that Bolt isn't a BOX OFFICE FLOP!
Disney has high hopes for this movie since it's being released by Thanksgiving and it has know stars in it. :)

Writing papers always makes my mind wander to think of other things and my curiosity about the next Disneymania got me wondering and googling, haha.

We know this is fake:

But could this one be real?
Image
http://coverlandia.blogspot.com/2009/03 ... icial.html

It seems plausible since we got the Camp Rock girl doing WYWUAS from Pinocchio Platinum Edition. I've read elsewhere on blogs that David Archuleta is rumored to be on the next Disneymania. From the other artists pictured, the line-up seems very plausible as they are all popular on Radio Disney and the tween/teen pop music scene. I hope this is real cover art because it means the Jonas Brothers are back with a new Disney cover! I was very disappointed that they were missing from Volume 6. Also, if this is real, I'm very sad that Demi Lovato may not be on this volume. :(

Any predictions? I wish someone would cover something from Oliver and Company! The music is so distinctly 80's, it'd be interesting to hear an updated, modern sound to it or just a new voice.

Well I'd go with the light pink color, since it has Meghan Martin on it among other Disney Stars.

Here's my predictions of possbile covers

Once Upon A Dream-Emily Osment

Wish Upon A Star-Meghan Jette Martin

Why Should I Worry/Pink Elephants-Jonas Bros

Baby Mine- Selena Gomez/Demi Lovoto

DuckTales/Darkwing Duck-Mitchell Musso

Davy Crockett-David Henrie

I've Got No Strings-Miley Cyrus

if you guys want real cover songs then take a look at this site, has all kinds of covers from most disney films

I just listened to some tracks from D.C.P.L (Disney Channel PlayList) and so far I like some of 'em

One and the Same-Demi/Selena....this song is wickedly awesome, the beat's fairly good too *chuckles* these girls sound perfect in harmony with each other, you can tell that Friendship is in the song all the way thru.

As for the timing of W.O.W.P theme (a mintue) the song was good and inspirational, had a Fantasia type feeling....but I was dissappointed by the length of the track, I was expecting a full 2-3min verison of the theme song (Maybe it'll show up on W.O.W.P's soundtrack)

Don't know if this information is correct or not about Disneymania 7 but I can see Disney doing something like this:

http://wikibin.org/articles/greatest-hi ... nia-7.html

If this is true, I will be skipping this release. If this comes with a bonus DVD with unreleased music videos, and well worth wild videos lol, I MIGHT get it. If not, I will def pass!

Wow, everytime I go on the internet, I google Disney Mania 7 since usually by now it's already in my CD player. Lo and behold this thread is bumped with information! =)
Matt wrote:Don't know if this information is correct or not about Disneymania 7 but I can see Disney doing something like this:

I'm pretty sure that's fake though. They already did a "collection" like set with Disney Princess Disneymania. I did find this information on YouTube which was the first time I ever heard about some of it, but since it's youtube the information could very well be false:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c48ZhohRDo8
YouTube poster AuroraFairbanks wrote:I found this on the internet the other day, and can't decide if it is real or fake. So you decide is this the official cover for DisneyMania 7 or is it another fake?

Official Tracks:
Meaghan Jette Martin - "Circle of Life"
Jordin Sparks - "Colors of the Wind"
Tiffany Thornton - "If I Never Knew"

Rumored Tracks:
Emily Osment - "Once Upon a Dream"
Taylor Swift - "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah"
David Archuleta - "Go the Distance"
Katy Perry - "Cruella De Vil"
Selena Gomez - "I Won't Say I'm in Love"
Jordan Pruitt - "Some Day My Prince Will Come"
Demi Lovato - "Poor Unfortunate Souls"
Britney Spears - "It's a Small World"
Jonas Brothers - "I Just Can't Wait to Be King"
Miley Cyrus - "When She Loved Me"
David Henrie - ???
Disney Channel Circle of Stars - ???
I think Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Jonas Brothers will definitely be on there now that they're the prime stars on the Disney Channel. I wouldn't be surprised though is the Jonas Brothers track is just their cover of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" since that hasn't made it to Disneymania yet. I don't think David Henrie has shown any signs of brining himself to Disney Channel actor turned singer status. Also, Britney Spears surely must be a really big rumor and wishful thinking.

Many of the tracks seem plausible, but can also be really logical guesses. David Archuleta makes sense since he is touring with Demi Lovato this year and it's already been rumored. Also, I'm curious to hear Tiffany Thornton's track as I've only heard her "rap" in that Hatching Pete song with Mitchel Musso.

I wouldn't trust that website; look what it says for Disneymania 8-

http://wikibin.org/articles/disneymania-8.html

DisneyMania 8 is the 8th compilation album in the DisneyMania series. It it set to be released during the summer of 2010. All of the following artists are rumored to be on the album.

Rumored Tracklisting

# "Beauty and the Beast" - B5 (Beauty and the Beast)
# "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" - Hilary Duff (Song of the South)
# "Proud of Your Boy" - Chris Brown (Aladdin)
# "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" - Drew Seeley (The Lion King)
# "When She Loved Me" - Kiely Williams (Toy Story 2)
# "You'll Be in My Heart" - Sher'Quan Johnson (Tarzan)
# "Some Day My Prince Will Come" - Carrie Underwood (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
# "Candle on the Water" - Rihanna (Pete's Dragon)
# "Route 66" - Jump 5 (Cars)
# "Part of Your World" - Raven-Symoné (The Little Mermaid)
# "Welcome" - Everlife (Brother Bear)
# "True to Your Heart" - Miley Cyrus (Mulan)
# "When You Wish Upon a Star" - Disney Channel Stars (Pinocchio)
# "I'll Try" - Joe Jonas (Return to Neverland)
# "A Whole New World" - Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens (Aladdin)

Disney has nothing to do with B5 anymore (I don't even know if they're still together, but I never liked them, so I don't care), Hilary Duff isn't a Disney girl anymore, Chris Brown is a lady-beater, Jump 5 broke up a year or so ago, Raven isn't a Disney singer anymore (although she will be in the new Adventures in Babysitting, so I guess she's a maybe), and Everlife were dropped from Disney's label...

Yeah, I seriously doubt either Katy Perry or Britney Spears would be on a Disneymania CD. I could definitely see David Archuleta and Jordin Sparks though, as they both seem like they like Disney. And they have more talent than just about anyone else on the list.

I have no feeling about Talor Swift either way. She could do it, but she might could not be doing it. I like her, but if she were going to be on the CD, I'd hope she'd do something better than "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah."

I highly recommend watchin this vid not for clips of the film, but to see the reality of Demi's friendship with Selena.

Mason, Drew Seeley also did "Find Yourself" (Cars) on Disneymania 5 and "You'll Be In My Heart" on Disneymania 6.

Someone posted it on YouTube recently. I was totally expecting an epic, dramatic version representing the torture of the mysterious voice he hears after being rescued that Prince Eric conveys in his first song of the show. I was hoping Drew Seeley would treat the song the same way Anneliese van der Pol did with "Candle on the Water" in keeping the same mood and meaning of the song, but instead, we get this up-tempo "pop" rendition similar to his previous Disneymania contributions. I'm thankful it's not super club tempo like what the Cheetah girls had done for their Disney renditions, but still, I feel the mood of the songs was taken away by his style. I've only listened to it twice, but so far, I feel this is another one to add to the long list of bad renditions on Disneymania. I'm still really curious to hear his theater style for the actual Broadway show, but judging from this recording and his High School Musical recordings, I'm worried they're not too different.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA06QP4YhnI

Also, if you're interested enough to have the recording for yourself before getting it on Disneymania 7, Disney is offering a free download as through the link provided on the YouTube description:
http://media.disneyonbroadway.com/downl ... rVoice.mp3

More news:

Also, I found another more updated rumored track listing:
Here is the rumor track listing for the Disneymania 7 album below. The album might feature American Idol Season 7 Runner Up David Archuleta, American Idol Season 6 Winner Jordin Sparks, Country Singer Taylor Swift, and Pop Singer Katy Perry singing Disney tunes for the album. The track listing is not finish yet, and nobody knows when this will release, but probably will later this summer or the fall. Hope this is true cause I can't wait for David, Jordin,Taylor, and Katy Perry tracks.

Official Disneymania 7 Official Track Listing:

# Meaghan Jette Martin - “Circle of Life” (The Lion King)
# Jordan Pruitt - “Some Day My Prince Will Come” (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
# Selena Gomez - “I Won’t Say (I’m in Love)” (Hercules)
# David Archuleta - “Go the Distance” (Hercules)
# Jordin Sparks - “Colors of the Wind” (Pocahontas)
# Tiffany Thornton - “If I Never Knew You” (Pocahontas)
# Alyson Stoner- “What I’ve Been Looking For” (High School Musical)
# Katy Perry - “Cruella De Vil” (101 Dalmations)
# Taylor Swift - “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” (Song of the South)
http://www.musicistheheartofoursoul.com ... sting.html

I'm wondering why they didn't recycle the Platinum Edition DVD music recordings for Disneymania 7 like they usually do and let the artists since new songs...also, I'm upset that Alyson Stoner chose a HSM song, though I guess by now, the HSM songs have become "Disney classics."

I remember an interview with Tiffany Thortnon bout her Disneymania song being If I Never Knew You and her Platinum Song is Someday My Prince Will Come.

And I agree with you Kram bout Disney not using Meghan's Platinum Song, Wish Upon A Star, but it's confirmed on her website that she's performing Circle Of Life and David Archuleta is confirmed for this album too I can see him performin Go The Distance.

As for Kate Perry....um....yeah Cruella De Vil seems like a good choice for her but overall I can't see her being on a disney album considerin her music is alil...risque (IE...Waking Up In Vegas, I Kissed A Girl).
