Yeah, I like the cover, too. I almost like it better than the Platinum's cover. The only bad thing is Ariel still looks 16 right there... (and her hair looks like a cape
)

I like it fine. Just change the color-scheme maybe (yellow and pastel turquiose? I hate the use of these "soft" colors!) and the fact that they don't look underwater at all. Make the poses seem less awkward and it'll be a great cover
I like how the logo in actually incorporated into the cover instead of just being stuck smack bang in the middle.

First of all, thank you for posting this.~RapunzelTower~ wrote:[/URL]

Agreed.Old Fish Tale wrote:It looks terrible!
Agreed.Nick Bryant wrote:It's totally different to what I had been anticipating. I quite like the upper half as it's unusual for disney, their compositions aren't normally like this but I don't like the bottom half at all. Triton looks too clip arty for my liking and both him and Morgana look as if they've just been thrown on just so that they make the cover.
Noticed that, too... weird. Then again, the TLM PE spine is slightly off, since it's more light blue than the rich dark blue that's actually used.MerXAN wrote:I have noticed that it's different from the one included in the box set. The one inside the box is purple in color.
Agreed, agreed, agreed.JiminyCrick91 wrote:The boxed set art is beautiful but what on earth is with II's art? Everybody looks off-model but Sebastian, it's all over the place, and the logo is horrid. I hope there is a major rehaul on it.
Also, I don't understand why it has a different logo. TLM2's logo was already different from TLM's, and then they're changing it again... hmm.
I was expecting Ariel and Melody on top of the logo (Melody on the right half in front of Ariel (on the left), since she is the star). Morgana would be on the left corner (to take the place of Ursula in the PE, rather than Marina on the right, since we now know that Marina has no relation to them) Triton could probably stay on the right like the PE, as well. I'm not sure about Flounder or Sebastian (since Flounder is gross, and doesn't really have a significant role, and Sebastian is SO irritating in TLM2, IMO). Instead, I think Tip and Dash should take their places, since they are Melody's friends, and like I said, she is the star.
Overall, the cover isn't too bad. At least they're making something new, and not just cropping one of the old posters and slapping the new logo on it and telling us it's different. However, Triton, Ariel and Flounder look more like they should be used for a cover art for the TV series, don't you think?

I disagree. The only character who's even slightly off-model is Ariel (because she should look older; Flounder looks the right age though). Morgana looks strange, but I'm pretty sure that's the first clip-art that was released of her back when the sequel first came out. I don't know why anyone could possibly hate this cover--it's beautiful! (and that's saying a lot, considering I don't like the movie itself).JiminyCrick91 wrote:The boxed set art is beautiful but what on earth is with II's art? Like I said in the other thread, I actually like this more than the Platinum cover (which seems more like clip-art). Morgana is in the same place as Ursula was, except she actually looks like herself. Stupid covers always messing up my diva...

Second of all, I wasn't talking about the cover (since it's quite obvious where it came from)- I'm talking about the info on its features.

Oh, sorry. I'll go look then. Maybe it's on Amazon or something.Disney's Divinity wrote:I think Vermin Friends was talking about the features Ariel'sprince mentioned.GoofyGoofyGoofy wrote: UltimateDisney, duh.

EDIT: It's not. But I did find the Sleeping Beauty Platinum Edition site. The Blu-ray version comes with a DVD. It isn't clear whether it's the movie or more bonus features (both seem stupid, because if you buy the Blu-ray you already have the movie and it's a 2-disc Blu-ray set so it has more than enough space, which makes an extra DVD useless).

But I did find a source. It's UD after all!

"Disney has announced a number of DVDs scheduled for release this December. The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea Special Edition will street on December 16th with two games, a Jodi Benson-narrated virtual storybook, a new deleted song, and the new Underwater Mer-Venture Challenge game. On the same day, it will be available in The Little Mermaid Trilogy ($50.00 SRP)"
The $50 price tag for the LM boxset seems like a good deal to me.

Hm. I think Ariel and Flounder both look a little too young. Ariel and Melody look the same age.
And.... alas. No Eric on the cover.

OMG, I love the cover for the box-set. You think that Disney will make this available to those of us that will have all 3 movies individually? Like they did for Beauty and the Beast? Or was it The Lion King? I really hope so!!!!!
The individual cover though... not so much. I think Ariel and Flounder look too young and I'm bummed Eric isn't on it.

I'm pretty excited for the deleted song. My best guess says that it's for Morgana, since she, unlike Ursula and Marina del Ray, did not have a song. I would also LOVE it to be a song by Ariel or Melody because Tara Strong and Jodi Benson are amazing. I actually rank "For A Moment" above "Under the Sea"...

I'm also pretty happy to hear about Jodi Benson narrating the storybook! Hope it's good, and not like Pip's adventure.

I'd really like to buy the boxset, but seeing as I already have 2/3 that's being sold, I don't see the point.
