No. Did you scroll down the WHOLE page? Notice that they have French writing on them? "La Belle au Bois Dormant" instead of "Sleeping Beauty"? And a totally different Blu-ray cover! I'm saying the U.S. art got re-used for the French covers, meaning the much better art for the polls will not be used!

I think I got everything now.
The ones from the scans are like the final US ones only french.
But keep in mind that those seems like just ads for DVDs and not final covers (I don't believe that this is their Ariel's Beginning (By the way-The Secrets Of The Little Mermaid sounds like a great name :D) cover).

yes, if you look at the picture for TLM:AB, you see that the side just reads ''La Petite Sirene'', from the platinum edition.
It is probably an old picture. It also has a 'special edition' banner above the sisters. (but I heard the DVD is going to be a special editon..)

And I have to agree,''The Secrets Of The Little Mermaid'' does sounds like a great title for the movie, better than ''Ariel's Beginning'', like CIII was called ''Assepoester: Terug in de tijd, (Cinderella: Back into time) here.
Guess the title will be the same here as in France.

So, I REALLY like the border they added around the cover art! I would love to see it on future releases.

Agreed, the Blu-Ray platinum cover features look nicer than the DVDs. Though I guess Pinocchio won't have the same medieval look.

Well no, but wouldn't it be nice to see a border around the cover art that looks like a wood-carving!

I'm getting really excited for this release, next october couldn't come sooner!

Sleeping Beauty Blu-Ray to “revolutionize” the industry:

"USA Today offers a run-down of the exclusive features to be found on this Fall’s Blu-Ray release of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. However be warned that only the latest players to be launched this summer by Sony and Panasonic will be able to access the disc’s online BD Live features" - animated-news.com

Damn, I've got a PAL PS3 with BD live in it,
and I have a Region A Bluray/HD-DVD hybrid player which doesn't have BD live,
so since this bluray is Region A I'm officialy screwed !

So if I buy a ps3 I just be fine with all the interactive online feature?

Aren't PS3s cheaper than Blu-ray players anyway? :?

Guys, are you seriously worrying about missing out on this? A real film fan wouldn't even wiggle an eyelash at all this garbage. When I watch a movie I want the flow of the story to be continuous and uninterrupted ... I want to be marinated in it. Chatting and sending movie mail whilst viewing a film is scandalous to me. :|

The ignorant masses can do whatever the hell they want, though.

Well,I agree with Julian,I mean,it's not some importent bouns features but some features that you can go to internet and chat with people or buy Aurora merchandise online.
(Thought I"m not worried,since I don't have Blu-Ray I"ll get the DVD).

There's nothing wrong with watching the masterpiece uninterrupted and all, THEN doing all the interactive stuff, is there? Getting feedback from others from could be interesting, as are getting official ringtones and such.

But to be honest, I only want the weather feature. I think I'd only be annoyed with all that other crap.

Well,I think the 2003 had a lot of weird features (Make homemade Aurora\Dragon Maleficent dolls? a game about going to Aurora's castle?),I think the Platinum Edition will be perfact.

Well, to be honest, most of that stuff is junk (and its not even new, HD DVD did it before it was dumped - see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix HD DVD for 1 example or the German Terminator 2 HD DVD).

But profile 1.1 and 2.0 promise so much more. You have to take Babysteps before you can run.

Imagine watching a film and having the storyboards in the lower right corner, and then pressing a button on your remote and having the film and storyboards switch windows.

Imagine if the Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray does this with the film and the Work-In-Progress version of the film. Are you all telling me none of you would be interested in that?

Imagine having the ability to download a commentary track, or more still images for a picture gallery, or the theatrical trailer for the film for a country of your choosing. Wouldn't it be fun to see how The Lion King was sold to people in African countries?

Disney could to all this, and more with Blu-Ray, Bonus View and BD Live. Of course, given Disney's lack of interest in doing anything on their DVDs for the past two years or so, their commitment does have to be questioned.

Is Disney really blaming declining DVD sales on lack of interactive features? Because they aren't making an effort to have anything remotely special or interactive on their current DVD releases.

Not really, I searched for it on Amazon.co.uk and they don't have it for preorder, and the Bluray their selling in the US has region A.
I've found out that Sony has announced that the new PS3 will be region free ! Although this isn't happy news for me exactly since I bought mine last year, this is sure to be another reason to pick a PS3 rather than a Bluray player... I'm envying anyone who hasn't got his PS3 yet ! :P
