The SRP is a little high, but it is 12 discs and I'm sure it will be a lot less on release day. The cover art looks nice.

I am soooo psyched for this! Are they still planning to release these in timeline order as the re-edited "movie" versions? Or will these be in the form of the original airings? Either is fine, but I'd prefer the movie versions with the "old Indy" stuff in the extra features section, maybe as "deleted scenes." The reason is, A: I'd like it to flow better in a better order, and B: I never liked the "old Indy" idea, but wouldn't want to lose the footage. Whichever they are using, I hope whichever footage is not in the main program is included in a deleted scenes section. Don't know how I'm going to scrape up the cash for these, but I'm going to! And I can finally get rid of those old VHS tapes, IF these are in the "movie" form. :D

slave2moonlight - you are absolutely right. The movies worked far better than the individual episodes. And I would still like the old Indy footage as an extra too. At this price I hope so.

*sigh*

While the idea of historical documentaries is intriguing, especially for a show like "Young Indiana Jones", I'm a bit upset that there's no genuine behind-the-scenes documentaries about the series itself (something akin to the "Making the Trilogy" documentary in the movies boxset). Then again, I may be jumping the gun a bit, and the historical documentaries could possibly also provide some behind-the-scenes material and retrospective interviews as well.

Anyway, I did some quick research and note-taking, and have created this thing...just for fun:

The Lost Chronicles of Young Indiana Jones

Post by slave2moonlight »

This 4 page article on starwars.com is a must read for the Young Indy fan. It gives the synopsis of several unproduced episodes for the third season of Young Indiana Jones, which, of course, never happened. A small number of the episodes were produced as TV movies though, and those are marked with an asterix.

What a shame these episodes were never produced! We could have witnessed Indy meeting Belloq, Abner Ravenwood, and of course more historical figures! Plus doing more treasure hunting and even finding a Crystal Skull!
