I wasn't really offended, I was just j/king. Every topic here keeps shifting. C'est la vie.
LOL, true. :D

So, back to the DVD, I REALLY hope they give the film a good restoration. I'm not expecting miracles, but hey, you never know. I said the same thing about "The Aristocats" SE DVD, and that turned out incredibly well. :)

Well, I mean, am I the only one who thought the GC DVD had a good transfer? Solid and vibrant colors, no dust or dirt, 1.33:1 aspect ratio... compared to, say, "The Rescuers" or "The Black Cauldron", SITS had a wonderful transfer.

Trust me, you're not the only one. I love The Sword in the Stone's GC transfer. In fact, I'm watching it as we speak!...or type...Whatever, LOL :D But something tells me they really weren't being true to the colors when restoring it. But hey, I could be wrong, maybe those ARE the original dye transfers Walt had approved of 45+ years ago, maybe they'll just sharpen it, and bring out the color just a BIT more. Again, I could be wrong.

None that I've seen yet. By next month there should be a trailer or two.

Hope so. :) All joking aside, I also hope they don't make someone fart again, like what they did for the preview for 101 Dalmatians! :x

Digitalbits.com says...
We have more details today on Buena Vista's The Sword in the Stone: 45th Anniversary Special Edition DVD, which is due in stores on 6/17 (SRP $29.99). The film will be included in anamorphic widescreen video (1.66:1) with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, along with The Sword in the Stone Scrapbook interactive gallery feature, the Music Magic: The Sherman Brothers featurette, 2 animated shorts (Knight for a Day and Brave Little Tailor), a song selection option, the Merlin's Magical Academy interactive game and more.
So we're getting a new game and a song selection option which is a glorified chapter stop option... I'm not expecting too much.

I know I shouldn't even bother asking, but will this be a 2-disc or 1 disc release? Mostly likely a 1 disc probably.

They always make Platinum Editions ads with low levels jokes (Sebastian burping and etc.) so there's a farting hourse in the 101 Dalmatians PE ad.
I don't think that Sword In The Stone will have such ad since it's a Platinum Edition.

I kinda agree with being a bit better then the Golden Collection, but not by much, I like the back of the Gold Collection better because it's has Merlin, Wart and Archamdies with all the Merlin's stuff flying around them. I hope the final cover art looks something like that.

Are they really bringing out a Special Edition DVD of "The Sword and the Stone"? That's terrific! I really didn't know about this but man, this is great news!

When is it going to be coming out? Is there even a UK release date?

That is sick, stupid, degrading to the Disney name, and the people doing this should be ashamed of themselves. The creative team behind the film, if any are still alive, should sue.

Wow, that cover art is fantastic! And that's not the final design too, now I'm try to imagine what the final one would look like! :D
