David Bowie is some kind of god...

Ok, still on a huge buzz...

Went and saw David Bowie last night and it was *insert expletive* awesome. 8)

That man was cooler than cool.

Opened with 'Rebel Rebel', played a good mix of old and new (including, surprisingly, 'Under Pressure'), before closing the encore with 'Ziggy Stardust'. I think I had a grin for 2 hours after that. I think I still do.

Hee hee hee..... soooooo cooooool...... :D

Ah....Bananarama. That takes me back :)

I might even have a few of those on cassette...or even cassingle! (Some of the younger board members may not remember cassingles).

Actually, a local band - very good, check them out if you can - call Something For Kate opened for them, and was very proud to see their sound could fill the large Entertainment Centre.

And yeah, there is a certain amount of nostalgia value for watching Bowie. (For me, it is soooo 1972 8)). Most people will sit through and enjoy the new stuff, which I might add is quite good, but they turn up for the 'Rebel Rebel', 'Under Pressure', 'Fame', 'China Girl', 'All the Young Dudes, 'Heroes', 'Suffragette City', 'Ziggy Stardust' type songs. All of which he played I might add :D

For a man of his age, he looks fantastic (thanks to a little 'help' I'm sure, but...) and sounds even better. Really puts on a good show.

Kids, if you want to know where it all started go get yourselves a copy of 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' or possibly 'Hunky Dory'; 'Aladdin Sane' or 'Station to Station'.

David Bowie?

Ugh, I know a Bowie-Zombie. She talks either Bowie this; Bowie that (sometimes Depp but mostly Bowie). She drives me nuts. Still, I remember listening to Rise and Fall... back when I was in elementary school. It's good stuff. :D

I'm just going pretend you didn't say that.

Invader ZIM - And I'm not a Bowie Zombie, I just really dig him, and seeing him live was a big highlight. :D

I also went to see A Perfect Circle last night. Nowhere near as god-like (although I think Maynard James Keenan thinks he is), but still pretty good.
