The Aristocats - DVD Preview (updated)

Post by lighthousemike »

First i have screen shots of the menus and the movie itself.
I must tell you, the movie looks very grainey on the computer as you can see below, it looks much mch better on tv though.

I'm scanning the cover the disc art and booklet, so thats coming as well.

use the flickr link to look at more shots or a larger version of them all

From seeing the inserts, I guess we got confirmation now that there will be a Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos 2-pack. Good, another two I can add to my collection that I don't have yet. I wonder if they'll do the same for Make Mine Music and Melody Time?

I've haven't seen Aristocats yet, it's one of the few DACs that I haven't seen yet, so I'm looking forward to it.

I said the SAME THING! I couldn't believe it! It's been a while since we saw some decent looking disc art, especially for a single disc release. I'm really excited for this movie. I don't yet own it, so it will be good to add it to my collection. Thanks for the preview, lighthousemike. I will be looking forward to seeing the 101 Dalmatians preview as well. Hopefully the booklet will let us know what to look forward to in Spring of 2009. Hopefully it will be Pinocchio's Platinum Edition.

The 'normal disc art was on the treasures too... from the last wave... although if it was a shiny disc I think disney fans would revolt...

i was waiting for the jungle book 2 on DVD, even with the lame "upgrade" i didn't
have a DVD player when i got the VHS; and 3 months later i got a DVD player :roll:

i have to say i'm dissapointed by the Caballeros Collection, i was hoping for different releases;
i really hope it doesn't become a wave.

Thanks mike for another DVD preview! How long is the Disneyland TV show excerpt? And could someone do side by side comparison between this and the old DVD, I could myself but I'm quite lazy.

All those ads for this years release of Disney DVDs is once again a sad one like last year.

"The Great Cat Family" is a really good Disneyland/Wonderful World of Color episode with some nice original limited animation - - and Walt. I'll buy it just for that. I wish more of the TV hours would be made available.

I just remembered, didn't The Three Lives of Tomasina DVD have an excerpt from The Great Cat Family too? I hope they didn't just recycle it for this DVD.
