I had heard about this ad around the time the press release for the Platinum Edition came out! That's right, it was made BEFORE the DVD! Of course, they use the restoration, in all it's wrong-color glory, but they had to restore it before the DVD came out, so I guess they finished it even before the press release.
Aside form the restoration, another thing linking it to the DVD is that the last shot of the castle, transformed into a sports stadium, is amidst the same background used on the DVD's cover. It's the same clouds and village. Did you also notice the coach is a basketball? Coolsville. But it just goes to scarily show how much they can mess with a film and still make it look good, so what did they do in the resoration?
I also think it should have been put on the DVD, but ironically, not the ESPN Cinderella Stories feature itself!
Speaking of Cinderella, so I was at Sam's Club last week and guess what?? They were selling the Cinderella DVDs, as well as the Cinderella Gift Set!! They had about 10 on display, so who knows how much more may be in their storage room.

Thank you, I was thinking of buying another Gift Set to never open! But I don't think I will since I don't have money to burn like that. Maybe after I get my job.
Nice ESPN ad tied in with a clip from "Cinderella". I've seen it many times since 2005. Cool ad, same old joke. I guess that this commercial was not included on the "Cinderella" Platinum Edition DVD.
