Who's been to Canada's Wonderland?

Post by Flanger-Hanger »

O.k. I put this in "Off-Topic" because this isn't about a Disney theme park, so

Who's been to Canada's Wonderland? What are your favorite rides?

Mine is Spongebob Squarepants 3D. It's so funny and has great 3D animation especially the part where you go to Rock Bottom and when the guy explodes from eating the pickle

Others I like are, Top Gun, Great Canadian Mine Buster, The Beast, Tomb Raider and Swing of the Century.

I know it's no where close to a Disney theme park but it's still fun (though expensive)

I haven't been to Canada's Wonderland, but I HAVE been to Kings Island. I think my favorite coaster there is either The Beast or Vortex.

I went to Canada's Wonderland on my Grade 8 class trip, but I was too scared to go on any rides except the merry-go-round (twice) and the spinning bucket thingy (multiple times), which I think is very similar to the spinning teacups at Disneyland (a place I've never been).

The spinning buckets are awesome; I kept going back for more. The merry-go-round is a fairly pleasant way to pass the time.

Here's a bump for those interested.

It seems that Wonderland is a few days away from making "their biggest announcement ever". Judging from the teaser poster and the countdown ticker on their website, I'd say that the rumors of them moving locations seems to be accurate. I had heard that they picked a lot in Niagara Falls with tons of room to expand in the future, but I'm not sure if that's true. They need to do something though, the land that they have now is pretty tight and no room whatsoever to expand or build new rides.

just pick up and move everything? can they do that? Well I guess they could. They are running out of space (if they were clever they could add to the current rides there). It still would be annyoing not to have it near where I live anymore.

I'm not sure if they can actually do it. Like do they have to rebuild all the old rides or can they just pick it all apart and put it back together again? And what about Wonder Mountain? Nobody can move something like that!

Either way, it's going to cost them millions and millions of bucks. I hope it pays off for them.

Well, it seems that the internet rumors were wrong. Wonderland is not moving. Instead the announcement was for a new ride, the Behemoth:

It's about time that they start building new extreme roller coasters. I just have no idea where they will fit it.

It's just a flying coaster with a Tomb Raider logo. Other than that it's nothing really special or themed.

Ah I see, well coasters are still cool, so I'm sure it's fun anyway. Wonderland sounds like an awesome place though and since I've always wanted to visit Canada, I think It would be a nice place to stop by.

Hm.. well from the sketch it looks like it's sitting half in the lake! That's interesting. I haven't been to wonderland in years! I had a season pass through most of elementary and highschool and I guess It just got to be to expensive for wat you get out of it. I haven't been since Cedar Fair took it over from Paramount...
