Nobody was other than Bree & Lynette this season.

Edie = Not Married
Susan = Not Married
Gabi = Not Married
Bree = Married but gone for a whole bunch of episodes
Lynette = Married but with the kids only untill the pizza place draws close to open so not really a housewife.

See?

i know, i never said that any of the others were, i was just saying that edie isn't a housewife because she's not married. they didnt make an attempt to kill off any of the others, if i remember correctly. the only other one they killed off that anyone cared about was nora.

Yeah, so I'm disappointed with the show but I stumbled on to an interesting tidbit I thought you remaining fans would enjoy:

Scroll down to the DH question. It's spoilery, [but now wow-oh-my-god spoilery]. Still interesting given the fact that it condradicts previous reports.

Don't read below if you haven't clicked on Disney-Fan's link above:

I kinda figured that they wouldn't kill off Edie. That's why the season finale was so pointless to begin with. Nevertheless, I'm glad that the character and the actress are staying put.

Want the scoop? Watch with Kristen's got it ..
Melanie in Whitney, Nevada: Desperate! I need summer scoop to tide me over.
There’s a new family moving to Wisteria Lane for season four…but the missus is no stranger to Fairview, having lived there more than a decade ago. We're hearing she gives Bree a run for her money in the uptight homemaker of the year contest. Too bad her 17-year-old daughter, Dylan, is an undercover hussy just like Danielle Van De Kamp, and her hubby is a sexy young doctor whom she may have trouble keeping up with.

Maybe this explains how Bree went from the fun drink-from-the-milk-carton person (to quote Rex) to this uptight housewive? Out of jealousy and competition of this person?

Wonder no more ...

Here is the latest info from Watch with Kristen ...
Maria in Oak Park, Illinois: Jen and Korbi, what's up with the Desperate Housewives rumor that Dana Delany, Nathan Fillion and Lyndsy Fonseca are moving to Wisteria Lane?
As we first reported last month, there's a new family coming to town this fall, although the missus and her daughter are actually old "friends" of Bree Hodge (nee Van Dee Kamp) and Julie Mayer, having lived in Fairview once before. The good word is that negotiations are reportedly going quite well to bring in Delany and Fillion for the adult roles. And we're told Lyndsy Fonseca's deal is already done, and they hope to have her TV parents on board by the end of the week! By the way, there will definitely be flashbacks of a six-year-old Julie Mayer and her recently returned old pal daydreaming about what the future holds—of course, life doesn't always turn out as one expects.

I don't know where Rowlf_The_Dog is? He's falling down on the job!

Some Desperate Housewives scoop, from TVGuide.com:

Teri Hatcher and James Denton Talk Desperate Housewives Scoop

The Wisteria Lane Welcome Wagon has moved way beyond a greeting and a coffee cake. In fact, for Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher, her first scene with new cast member Nathan Fillion proved to be an unusually warm introduction.

"Often you'll hear actors say that there's the oddity of meeting someone and the next thing you know you're doing a kissing scene. Ours was, 'Hi, nice to meet you. My feet are going to be up in stirrups and you need to stick your head [between my legs]. Welcome to Desperate Housewives,' Hatcher told TV Guide at the ABC All-Star Party July 26 in Beverly Hills.

Fillion, who joins the cast as a dashing young gynecologist, will be moving into Mike’s house with Dana Delany, who plays his wife, and according to James Denton, there is something dark and twisty about the new neighbors. “Something really dark happened in that house and that’s why they have to move back. We don’t know what it is, but I can’t wait to find out.”

For Denton, the first episodes of the new season will show Mike moving in with Susan and Julie and dealing with the challenges of parenting a teenager. “I try to be involved and [Julie] of course is like, ‘Who do you think you are? My mom and I are best friends.’ There is a lot of comedy that can be mined from it.” — Reporting by Carita Rizzo

This concerns the new season of Desperate Housewives. I'm hoping that numba1lostboy will return to start the 4th Season thread. That's why I didn't start it, wanting to give numba1lostboy the chance to start the new thread, since he was the one who started this thread.

Anyway, from TVGuide.com:

A First Look at Desperate Housewives' New Neighbors
by Jonathan Small

A new family is moving to Wisteria Lane this fall, but not everyone's rolling out a welcome mat. Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany) lived on the block 12 years ago with her daughter, Dylan (Lyndsy Fonseca), and aunt, Mrs. Sims (Ellen Geer), but left under mysterious circumstances. Now she's back with her teenage daughter and her second husband, Adam (Nathan Fillion), a hunky gynecologist. Ostensibly, they returned to take care of the dying Mrs. Sims, but like all new characters on Desperate Housewives, the Mayfairs harbor a dark secret that will be revealed as the season progresses. Says creator Marc Cherry: "They had to leave Chicago because something unsavory happened in Adam's professional life."

Katherine's a perfectionist and a control freak. (Think Bree, but much darker.) She's reviled by all Wisterians — particularly Bree, who by Episode 2 will go spatula to spatula with her over a lemon meringue pie recipe. "I always wanted to come up with a character everyone loves to hate," Cherry says, adding that he modeled Katherine after J.R. from Dallas and Amanda from Melrose Place. Through flashbacks, Katherine will also offer viewers a chance to look into Wisteria Lane's lurid past.

Ironically, Delany was originally offered the part of Bree, but Cherry says she turned it down three times. "I'd just done Pasadena, and it seemed too similar," Delany says. "It's very rare in life you get second chances. I'm really flattered and honored."

Also thanking the Hollywood gods is Fillion, who's still recovering from the flat tire that was Fox's Drive. "My manager asked, ‘If someone were to tell you that you could be any kind of doctor on Wisteria Lane, what kind would you be?' " he recalls. "I said I'd be a gynecologist so I could interact with all the women."

Fillion won't say whether this "interaction" will involve any illicit affairs. He will tell us that his medical expertise may play a big part in a storyline. "One might extrapolate [that] if there is an OB-GYN around, someone may have need," he says. Paging Bree's pregnant daughter Danielle?

At the bottom of the Mayfair family tree is Dylan. She's a goody-goody — cute, polite and well trained. "My mom keeps me on a rigorous schedule and a short leash," Fonseca explains. "Almost like a dog." She also suffers from a bit of memory loss. Twelve years ago, she was BFFs with Susan's daughter, Julie, until her mom decided to skip town. Now she doesn't remember a thing, leaving everyone to suspect that something horrific happened in her childhood.

She did grow up on Wisteria Lane, after all.
