New Disney Channel DVDs- August 7th- Suite Life and Cory!

Post by James »

Hey guys, Luke has posted some exciting info on the front page, about new Disney TV DVDs, including Vol 2. of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Vol. 1 of the spin-off Cory in the House, along with Darkwing Duck, the Tick and The Muppet Show. Check it out-
Disney has once again loaded up the month of August with TV show DVD releases. The long-awaited "The Muppet Show": Season 2 (SRP: $39.99) will arrive on August 7th in a 4-disc set with all 24 episodes from the 1977-78 season, plus "The Muppet Valentine Special", "The Muppets on The Muppets", "Weezer & The Muppets", and collectible Miss Piggy packaging.
The same day brings more '90s superhero cartoons via "Darkwing Duck": Volume 2, a 3-disc set holding 27 episodes, and "The Tick" vs. Season 2, each carrying a $34.99 list price. Also on August 7, Disney Channel's "Cory in the House" will make its format debut in All-Star Edition ($19.99 SRP), a 4-episode compilation centering on "all-star houseguests." It will include separate behind-the-scenes featurettes with guests The Rock and Raven. Finally, "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" returns in Sweet Suite Victory ($19.99), a 4-episode disc with bonus gag reel and a Brenda Song-hosted "Sweet Lift Challenge" trivia game. Cover art has been posted for "Muppet Show", "Suite Life", "Cory", "Darkwing", and Roving Mars. Click here to view.
Even though that's a lot of TV-on-DVD releases, I hope that more are released, like Desperate Housewives-Season 3, Ugly Betty- Season 1, Lost- Season 3, and Grey's Anatomy- Season 3.
Any thoughts on these?

Looking forward to the Suite Life DVD, less than enthused for Cory.

Also, I have a feeling the ABC shows (DH, GA, UB, Lost) will get an end-of-August release rather than early-August one.

Ah right. I thought that. I just hope that the Grey's one isn't pushed back to October like it was last year, if I've remembered correctly.

I'm excited for TSL. I love that show and since the new DVD is coming out soon(which most likely will include a "never before seen" episode;which means it will be on DC for a while!)

Ah, cool, good that we've gotten some possible dates already. Where did you get them from MMP?

Although I've now recorded all the (aired in the US) episodes of TSL to DVD, I will be buying the new TSL DVD, just for bonus features, etc. And just so I have an official release.

I am completly unphased by this news. I still wont buy it. I cant. I cant waste my money, unless its a box set. I know im being detrimental to my cause, but I refuse to waste my money until they realize how to release DVDs properly.
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

Hi Adam, long time no see. :) Yeah, I never buy these either, but it's good that they're getting these out now, so that there's less wait for season sets.
