I know! How crazy is that?!? Fans paid $125 per ticket to hear 5 songs! That's crazy! Even more crazy considering it's only for Britney! Some people just have money to burn.
Britney's immature, but it's fans who need help
Who are these gullible fools who wait hours for 15 minutes of nothing?
Cries for help come in many different forms. For Britney Spears, it was shaving her head or going out on the town with no underpants. For her fans, it’s waiting for three hours to listen to their heroine appear to lip-sync her way through 15 minutes of music.

If her show Tuesday night at the House of Blues in San Diego had been some sort of psychiatric triage, I would have instructed the therapists to work on the fans first.

Britney’s last concert tour was in 2004. She has indicated recently that she hoped to return to the stage. She followed through on that threat by performing a tiny handful of old favorites while strutting a few post-Federlinian steps and then bailing...

You know, this kind of reminds me of when Mariah Carey went slightly off of the deep end. She had a strong career, became a diva, crashed, and people thought she was done. Then she comes out with a big new CD and all of a sudden she's great again and people act like she never had problems. I can see the same thing happening to Britney. She could rebound and do well again. It's likely that she will. The only difference is we'll always remember the last three years.

And I'll just bet she'd be the first to say - "I'm Britney Spears! $125 a ticket? That's a steal!"

Nonsense. Mariah's comeback happened in 2005. Prior to that, her last real hit was on that Rainbow CD or whatever. Back in about '99. She had to do 2 failed albums, a failed movie, a failed record contract, and what several people considered a suicide attempt - to come back, 5 years later. How can you compare Britney to that?

She gave birth to 2 children! I think she looks great (I mean, I wish she didn't shave her head)- but, for having 2 children, she's lost most of the baby weight. She's not 16 years old anymore...

She should keep her head shaved, only paint it red instead of using wigs. I suggest she start wearing clown shoes, too. It'll become the hip new fashion.

I was about to reply with... Yeah, right...

But now that I think about it... A few people would be likely to do it. But not many.

Yeah she did, as a matter of fact, I've never actually heard or seen her do a live concert. I think that she should sing live for once to gain a bit more credibility. I mean if Christina Aguilera can do it, can't Britney? That being said, I still love her music.

In defense of some of the people here, liking her music and liking her are two different things that do not necessarily go together. I've never much cared for either, but I don't see the point in bashing her on a thread clearly made to applaud her.

That said, one way or another, I hope she can make her way out of her slump. No one deserves to be in such a state.
:pan: Love It.

Britney singing live:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFlR6ynzV2g (for the first song, anyway)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7l-8t7ZaJs (she has the wig on because the song is in tribute to Cher)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMk_FR6NOeg

There are a bunch more examples, but here are a few.

Oh okay. I'll make sure that I'll download a few of those- I have dial up so it takes a while to load them, and I can't do it now. I wasn't saying that she never sings live, but that for the majority of her tours and performances, she mimes. The Hotel Onyx one for example, she was lip-synching. I'm not saying that she can't sing, because she obviously can, and I started this topic on her for that fact! I just think that she should sing live more often, because I'd be very disappointed if I went to a live show and she wasn't singing live.

It is a shame that Britney doesn't sing live more often. Her friends in 'NSync should teach her how to dance & sing live at the same time- they're great at it.

Britney needs to get back to getting her education completed, especially the part about being a mother and setting an example for her children. Running around with her drunken cronies and being half naked is not a good example you want to set for your kids, no matter how old they are. Those pictures are going to come back to haunt her big time.

Judging by those pictures, she also needs to get back to the gym.

No one on earth can sing and dance the way she does at the same time. It's seriously impossible, unless you want to sound like crap. I'd rather have her lip-sinc and dance how she does than try to sing in those conditions. I think it's obvious that it's actually her in her recordings, so what's the big deal if she lip-sincs while dancing and hard as she does. Nsync never sang at the same time as dancing. The member who was singing would stop and move forward while the others were dancing, and if they are singing and dancing at the same time then the dancing isn't really anything that spectacular and their vocals suffer a little because of that even. Here's some examples...

Another thing, stop pretending as if she's famous for her singing only. She's famous for the whole package (her image, dance, and music).

As far as her making a come-back, i wouldn't call it that until the album she's working on makes it to the top 10. this small kind of performance thing isn't a come-back. Whitney Houston still does things like that but it doesn't mean that Whitney will be back any time soon.
