Oh boo This will probably be the first Pooh series that I don't enjoy then. I would like the toddler shows much better without the interactive dialog. I mean, do kids actually talk back to the TV screen?

Once in a while, if I'm flipping through channels and it's on, I'll watch "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" (and, no, I don't have kids). And if they ask a question, sometimes I'll answer them.

As for the CGI show, I'll give it a watch once. I'm hoping it's not in the same format as Little Einsteins and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse where the characters talk to you and pause for responses.

Those kind of shows freak me right out!! It's like Mickey is looking right at you - waiting for you to answer, testing you. That would scare me if I were a kid.

You're not the only one, I'm guilty of it too sometimes lol.

When I was a kid I would've loved these kind of shows because I was the kind of kid who believed that cartoons were real and lived in their own seperate world from ours. Now of course, I didn't believe that past the age of 4, but it must be a lot of fun for kids to have cartoon characters that interact with them. I really don't think that these shows are supposed to appeal to people our age, so are you suprised that you don't find them entertaining?

Hm, it's not that I hate the shows. I watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse sometimes, and I've even sat through a few Little Einsteins shows.

I'm not saying Disney should never make them, just that since I grew up loving The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner, I was hoping for another series I could get in to.

I'll probably watch a couple of episodes, but nothing I'd worry about taping every week, that's all

Once again, being that I've been gone for four days, this is hot-off-the-press type news for me. I will definately buy this release being that I don't have the VHS or DVD of Pooh yet. (I have actually never seen this movie, so I'm pretty excited!). I also feel safe that all the features from the 25thAE will be ported over. I just hope they show it in fullscreen (as opposed to WS!) As you guys know by now, I prefer seeing all artwork despite what the Theatrical OAR might be.

Can't wait!

I might have seen a part of it though....what Pooh movie had the scene where there was like a thunderstorm, and Pooh had these visions of elephants and scary animals which became a musical number in the film? Was it Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh? If so, then I had that song on a sing-along tape when I was little.

You're not along brotherbear, I have not seen "The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh" myself. It is one of the few remaining DAC's that I have yet to see, so I will be looking forward to adding it to my collection.

I guess it was "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh". It was in "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day" too.

For the people like me who noticed Pooh's face looking slightly off-model, Disney has corrected it (the original cover's on the left, the revised on the right):



Besides a few more leaves added, the overall color pallette also seems to be lighter, which I think better reflects the film's look.

Looks to me that they just changed the eyebrows on the top Pooh (but not the bottom), changed the fastplay logo, and added some leaves on the right side.

Nice? I'm disgusted by it. They make it seem like it's just a children's movie, which it isn't. The whole trailer makes it very obvious this movie is onle rereleased because of the My Friends Tigger And Pooh-show. Ew.

I don't like the trailer either. When will Disney realize that Winnie the Pooh is not just for kids? This trailer makes it seem like only kids under the age of 8 will enjoy it. Bad marketing.

I do like the revised cover art though. Tigger's nose isn't so red anymore.

You guys really don't know why they re-release these movies, do you? The older audience already knows about Winnie the Pooh, it is the younger audience they are trying to sell it too. They we (older audience, the people that can read and write, and even go on web-sites) will buy this movie because it is a Disney Classic. They want to bring it out for people that were born 5 years ago, to start a new generation, so the movie will always be a classic 100 years from now.

Yeah, because we know Disney would get a lot more merchandising revenue selling "Learn to Poo with Winnie the Pooh" playsets to the 18-45 crowd...

It's a business. And Pooh obviously reaches out to the sitting-in-their-pampers-sipping-some-apple-juice crowd. More so than to any other demographic. So Disney takes advantage of that. How else do you want them to make money? Release 250,000 copies of "Friendship Edition" for the family, and 50,000 copies of the same product simply called "Special Edition" for the "normal" fans? Ridiculous.

Besides, I know there's a bunch of us here who'll still buy the Friendship Edition since they'd rather pay less for a new release in first week sales than hunt down the OOP DVD just because it's got a more mature-sounding banner name edition. Is the *banner name* that much of a problem? The movie's gonna be the same no matter what words you put on the cover art. Special Edition, 25th Anniversary Edition, Friendship Edition, Inundating-The-Market Edition...doesn't matter so long as you're still getting the movie and a nice selection of bonus features.

I like Winnie the Pooh. I'm not ga-ga over it, but I'm not cynically against its overmarketing either. After all, their products aren't aimed towards me, so why should I complain if Disney decides to release that "Learn to Poo with Pooh" playset? Will my life suddenly get worse because our silly ole bear is helping young'uns learn the art of defecation? Hardly.

Anyone know why Disney is just sitting on "Winnie the Pooh Discovers the Seasons?" They used to show it on Disney Channel's short cartoon shows all the time, but they never release it as an extra on all these Pooh DVDs. As far as I know, it's not going to be on this release either. I don't have Heffalump Movie yet (should be getting it VERY soon) or Springtime with Roo, or a couple of the others that put together TV show episodes, but if my info is correct, none of them have this short as an extra, even when it seems so perfect for the release (like with Springtime with Roo or Seasons of Giving, or this Many Adventures rerelease).
