if i had it my way here is how i would do it from 08 onward.
spring 08: 101 Dalmations. reason being because it really needs to come and i only have it on Black Diamond collection.
fall 08: Pinocchio and Snow White on Blu-ray. i have Pinocchio on Black Diamond and Snow White on Video from before the Black Diamonds came.
Spring 09: Fantasia. i have it on Black Diamond since at the time i didn't get the Anthology which i would've gotten if i knew about the PS2's dvd piece.
Fall 09: Sleaping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast on Blu-ray. i have Sleaping Beauty from the last release on VHS before the 2-disc came and i have BATB on Platinum VHS.
Spring 10: Lion King on Blu-ray. i have it on Platinum VHS.
Fall 10: Aladdin on Blu-ray, by this time it'll probably be ready for a re-release. might get again if it has new stuff.
Spring 11: Bambi on Blu-ray, might be ready for re-release by this time. might get if there is any new material that it needs.
Fall 11: Cinderella on Blu-ray, same reason here as for Bambi. also might get since they will probably replace those stupid sports stories with real stuff on Cindy.
Spring 12: Lady and the Tramp on Blu-ray, same for the rest, might get if it has better special features.
Fall 12: The Little Mermaid on Blu-ray, same for rest, if it had some new stuff i'll get it.
Spring 13: Peter Pan on Blu-ray, same for rest, might get if the original doesn't feel like it has enough so might do a Cindy.
Fall 13: Jungle Book on Blu-ray, same for rest
Spring 14: 101 Dalmations on Blu-ray, might be here when it first comes.
Fall 14: Pinocchio on Blu-ray, see 101
Spring 15: Fantasia on Blu-ray, see 101
Fall 15: Sleaping Beauty on Blu-ray, see 101
if i could i would include also The Black Cauldron, Pochahontas, Alice in Wonderland, Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, Tarzan, Hunchback, and Hercules.

Snow White was to be the first Animated Classic released on Blu-Ray.
Around the time of Ratatouille's release to DVD ( Christmas 2007 )
you will be able to start getting Pixar releases on Blu-Ray.
Followed by the Summer release of Snow White in Summer 2008.
Whether or not they'll leave Snow White with a US summer release on
Blu-Ray remains to be seen.
As remember when people didn't buy Snow White when it first appeared on that trendy new fangled DVD format?
Well don't be a fool this time, BUY IN ON BLU-RAY and whenever you get
a Blu-Ray player, you can enjoy it and not regret it later.

Chicken Little, anyone? Last I heard, March 20, 2007 was much earlier than Summer 2008.HappyPug wrote:Snow White was to be the first Animated Classic released on Blu-Ray.

Snow White 75th Anniversary Super Special Edition!!!
I think that Disney will probably re-release Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs in time for the 75th Anniversary in an all talking all singing all dancing De-Luxe Version!! I hope so anyway I can't wait to see the finished re-polished re-mastered version of this my all time favourite Walt Disney motion picture!Widdi wrote:IAlso next year is Snow White's 70th anniversary. That should be celebrated somehow. I'm hoping for some sort of gift set, but that probably wont surface. I just don't want a "70th Anniversary: Platinum Edition" for it. Unless it is added as a third Platinum for the year. With it already restored and ample amount of bonuses available there really shouldn't be a heck of a lot needed to be done for a release, so I don't see why they can't add a third platinum release per year.

Which Blu-Ray player should I go for - in the UK?
I'll have to buy a Blu-Ray player in order to play the new Disney Blu-Ray editions when they are released - any pointers as to which player? Plus of course I'm in England so I cannot buy a US player!!
