Family Guy

Post by lolopimp »

Does anyone else here watch the show? Family guy is really funny and I'm sure many of you love it as well. Stewie is by far my favorit character, I like it when he tries to kill his mom but he can never accomplish it...

You can post your thoughts on the show and some of your favorite lines or characters.

I love "Family Guy." One of the greatest, funniest cartoons ever devised.

Some great quotes I can recall offhand:

Young Peter: Why did all the dinosaurs go extinct?
Museum Guy: Because you touch yourself at night.

Peter: Holy crap, Brian, what am I going to do? Lois is gonna be home in a couple of days, and we're getting kicked outta the house tomorrow!
Brian: What do you suggest?
Peter: Get out your ring.
Brian: Peter, that's not gonna--
Peter: Come on!
Together: Wonder Twin Powers..... Activate!
Peter: Form of--steam!
(pause... nothing happens)
Brian: Peter, we got these in a box of Frankenberry.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I really like the show even though at first I didn't since I thought the pilot episode was just plain lame. I rank it as my least favourite episode. I enjoy it and I'm glad it's coming back. I have all the DVDs too.
It's not my favourite cartoon but it's still a great show. :)

AHHH!! FAMILY GUY IS THE BEST! :D
STEWIE's cute (hahah, ironically huh)

Stewie: Hey, mother, I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I thought I'd search first before opening a new one.

I came across Family Guy some weeks ago by accident. I was surfing youtube.com and there was this Family Guy video, so I watched it and I was almost literally rolling on the floor!! It was amazingly funny!! So I watched some more FG on youtube, and I'm planning on buying the season sets.
Family Guy is even funnier than The Simpsons, at least I think it is.
My favorite is Brian the Dog. I love his sarcasm, and how keeps Stewie under control.
And, the Cheerio quote is my favorite, too.

What I wanted to ask is, if it is wise to buy Vol.1 or if I should get one of the later box-sets first?

Family Guy is one of my favorite animated sitcoms. When Family Guy was first aired in 1999 I didn't care for it, though I thought it was boring (that was my opinion, not a fact). Few years later after Family Guy was cancelled and aired on Adult Swim I watched one particular episode and I laughed so hard. That show was even funnier than the Simpsons, in which the later seasons are becoming dry. After seeing one episode, I decided to watch the entire series. In the year 2004, Family Guy returns to FOX for airing new episodes. The new episodes were even funnier than before and the ratings were higher and expected for more.

I can't wait for more new episodes of Family Guy. I just hope it doesn't get cancelled again like the last time.

I think Family Guy is hands down the funniest show on T.V. Its writers are absolute geniuses. I kind of wish, though, that it wasn't quite so vulgar and gross.

Next to the Simpsons and King of the Hill, Family Guy is one of the best shows on Fox. I like the flashback scenes and just the humor of the show.

I am kind of mad at South Park for lampooning it. I think I see it as a way to rival a show.

But that only shows how popular Family Guy is, and that these othere series feel "threatened".

I just picked up Family Guy vol. 4... I also have the first three volumes, the Freakin' Sweet Collection (unedited Road to Rhode Island, among other benefits,) the Live in Las Vegas CD/DVD, and the Stewie Movie...

Some of the Family Guy episodes are hits, others are misses (just like Simpsons and South Park.) The longer a show goes, the closer they are to the bottom of the barrel for new ideas.

I still enjoy Family Guy, along with Simpsons, South Park, and American Dad, and I plan to buy all the seasons of all of them, eventually.

Though I find it funny sometimes, I'm one of the few who thinks this show has nothing on American Dad. I find that show so much more entertaining.

The old episodes are pretty funny (as you can see by my oft-quoted quote ;) ). The new stuff... blech. I'll stick with the first couple of seasons.

Ha, I got the action figure of this character on clearance at Toys R Us recently. It is too sweet! (also got Joe and Brian's cousin, but those are the only Family Guy figs I have so far).

Great show. Love to watch it on Cartoon Network and have the first DVD set. It can get too liberalism-preachy sometimes, but very rarely; nowhere near as bad as shows like South Park, oy. Plus, 99 percent of the time it is politically incorrect, and not in the wannabe sense that I get from South Park nowadays.

I still like watching Family Guy and I am mad that some people say its going stale (Okay, maybe some of the episodes were kind of stupid).

Here's how I would rank all the animated shows on FOX (Even the Cancelled ones):

1.The Simpsons
2.Family Guy
3.Futurama
4.King of the Hill
5.American Dad
