AUGH! You had me thinking the poster was here!
Anyway, my personal POTC3 poster would keep in style with the first two, with Jack, Elizabeth, and Will's heads at the top. Perhaps we could have Barbossa's there too, since he seems to be a major player again
. Below the heads and above the title scroll, I would have them place a stylized montage of major film events.
I would also like the poster to be have a deep blue look to it (the firs film was reddish, and the second green).
All in all, I like films that are in a series to match in some way. But I'm sure whatever poster they give us will be awesome.

No. Absolutely NO BARBOSSA. We can't let this be the new millenium's "I am your father", okay?numba1lostboy wrote:my personal POTC3 poster would keep in style with the first two, with Jack, Elizabeth, and Will's heads at the top. BTW, this thread is very misleading. I came here to see a poster. Can you please change the title?

I totally concur. That's what the evil faces at the end of the sentence meantJust Myself wrote:No. Absolutely NO BARBOSSA. Same, I was totally filled with so much excitement and glee when he turned up at the end. Even though my friend had already "spoiled" the ending for me and still I was totally pumped. She saw the movie before me and was over the moon about it and wanted to discuss everything that went on in it. I didn't mind and she did ask me if it was okay if she could. Anyway, I can't wait to see Barbossa in the next movie, he's just such an awesome character and Geoffrey plays him wonderfully (and evilly!).lord-of-sith wrote:What's wrong with Barbossa comming back? I think I prefer Geoffrey Rush in these movies to even Johnny Depp! I was so excited when he came back!
I guess maybe some people don't like him coming back because it deals with the whole "character coming back from the dead" thing? Which I don't see as a real big deal, what with being set in a world with curses, voo doo and the like. I even sometimes joke that, "Nothing stays dead in that movie!"

I didn't like it because it was yet another thing they forced into the plot. I wouldn't be surprised if the explanation of his resurrection is waaay out there because at the end of COTBP, he died. Period.
They've just put it in there so the films will seem to flow better, but to me, they feel forced together. But I do want to see what happens.

Bullocks. In fact, it is somewhat neccessary since they'll need some sort of explination on how to resurrect Jack, and since Barbosa has experienced this hands-on, I'm guessing he'll be the key to Jack's ressurrection.numba1lostboy wrote:I didn't like it because it was yet another thing they forced into the plot. Actually, though, if you look at the veeeery end of the credits, you see Barbossa laying there, and that "cute" twist with the monkey. That small little fact made me, and everyone else who saw it first, know Barbossa would somehow return in the 2nd or 3rd sequel.numba1lostboy wrote:I didn't like it because it was yet another thing they forced into the plot. Oh and what's wrong with making it the next "I am your father"? Doesn't everyone say "The Empire Strikes Back" is the best Star Wars film despite the lack of a proper ending? And besides, everyone is looking forward to At World's End, and guess what, that was Disney's goal in the first place.

You're obviously not a fan of comic books.Jasmine1022 wrote:yeah, i saw that....but still. come on. dont milk it. i dont like barbosa at all. he was a good villian for the first movie but he should be dead and gone! *sigh*

As for "milking" the franchise or "forcing it in", well I think those are things you face if you're making any sequel in the first place. Because most usually don't think too much about what happens next in the story after the film gets made. Besides, the fact the original was a story about cursed pirates who couldn't be killed, well, the original was sort of sequel to begin with.
