Maybe get Cheetah Girls 2 Cheetah-licious Edition, Ant Bully and Clerks II 2 Disc Collector's Edition but probably won't.

Clerks II. I reccomend that anyone who hasn't seen the first Clerks to do so before they see the sequel. It's much, much better.

Robin Hood Most Wanted Edition. I will probably get my mom A Star is Born a movie that she has been wanting to have for about 25 years. And since you can't find it on TV ANYWHERE, she can finally get this movie!

Superman: Ultimate Collector's Edition and Robin Hood: MWE are both on my Christmas list (though just how worthy an upgrade RH is remains to be seen).

I didn't know that there were two versions of Superman III?!DisneyDVDFAN wrote:There are rumors or some info posted on another forum that states the NEW Ultimate BOX set contains the old edition of SUPERMAN III not the new version ;(
At any rate, the Ultimate Collector's Edition does contain both versions of Superman: The Movie, plus the theatrical version, and Richard Donner cut of Superman II. Perhaps that is what they are talking about?

I think what DisneyDVDFan means is a new edition of Superman III.Yes it has the same versions of III and IV. I wouldn't really worry though, their not the best in the series. I'll be renting Superman II:The Donner Edition and Supergirl.DisneyDVDFAN wrote:There are rumors or some info posted on another forum that states the NEW Ultimate BOX set contains the old edition of SUPERMAN III not the new version ;(

Looks like DisneyDVDFAN was right! Dang!!! Dang!!! Dang!!!
I was on the DVDTalk.com forum, and came across this thread:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php ... ge=4&pp=25
From the thread:
"One problem with this set:
The SUPERMAN III DVD that's included in the Ultimate Edition is apparently the 2001 DVD and NOT the new Special Edition with the deleted scenes, documentary, commentary etc. It's a mistake on Warner's part but everyone who has it (including Bill Hunt at Digital Bits and two different Amazon posters) confirms it."
and
"One Amazon reviewer states this:
"Sadly, you're not alone in discovering this glitch in the Ultimate Collection. Capedwonder.com stated this, "The Region 1 Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD box set was shipped with the old 2001 Superman III DVD (old menu without all of the new extras), while the Region 1 Christopher Reeve Superman Collection DVD box set contains the new version of Superman III with the deleted scenes, trailer, making of, etc. Bill Hunt of DigitalBits.com found the same error in his Ultimate box." I'm sure WB will eventually offer a replacement disc for the correct version of Superman III but they're usually VERY slow to do so.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/discussion...#wasThisHelpful
Sounds like it might be wise to stay away from this 1st batch of pressings then..."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crap! So, what to do?! Go ahead and pick up the set, or, wait for them to correct it, and then pick it up? What do those of you who are planning to pick up this set think? I was really looking forward to this!

Damn. I hate doing disc replacement programs, so I'll just pick up the new version by itself, replace it, and give it to my cousin or something. He doesn't care for bonus features, and I know I'm giving him my old copy of Superman II, so he probably wouldn't mind having the third.MadonnasManOne wrote:Crap! So, what to do?! Plus, it'll be one less Christmas present I need to worry about this year.

Money's tight because I have to get Christmas gifts. I have bought a lot fewer DVDs this year than is normal for me, ha. Still, I selected my "first choice," The Ultimate Superman Collection. I still don't know if I'll be getting the Robin Hood DVD or not. Haven't decided if it's worth the upgrade. I have the Gold Collection one and it doesn't sound like this will be a vast improvement.
