Star Wars?

Does anybody know when Star Wars will be released on dvd? I heard that it may not be until after episode 3 is released. Is this true? If so why does George Lucas want to wait until then?

Originally the trilogy wasn't going to be released until after Episode III but that plan was apparently cancelled as reports a month or two ago indicated that the trilogy would in fact be coming to DVD next fall.

Actually, the current rumor is now November, 2004. No box set, each film will be released seperately as a 2 disc set.
