I agree with those who have said that there should be *real* pixie dust on the slipcover....i.e. glitter. Something special.

This cover is just too normal/boring for me. I wish the focus was on the ship....or Neverland...or something other than Peter's huge head.

Yeah the cover would be lovely if the pixiedust was hologramic/sparkling like the stars on the BaTB R1 slipcover...

I think the green banner is wonderful and well suited for this film, yeah it does have that X-mas look yet it also displays the pureness of the film's legacy. As for Character placement: they should've had all of Never Land on the cover in below center, Hook/Smee's pose in Lil Mermaid DVd Insider booklet could've been used for the place where the 2 villains are now. Oh well maybe when they release the disc arts it'll be tons better.

write back please

Well I still think it's a beautiful cover. I really love this and the cover for Cinderella Three, the art type is very pleasing to the eye. I wish TLM would have gotten a cover similar to these instead of the one it got.

I still don't care for the cover art, but I like that they made the banner green (one of my gripes) and the new edge glow behind the characters is better than it was before. Also, the change in lighting makes Peter look much better.

I agree that the DVD Insider illustration of Hook and Smee would look so much better. Also, I hate how the Darling children aren't all flying in the same direction. It looks too forced...

And the logo shouldn't be red! Red clashes with the new, better-looking green banner!

Alas, though...I think the only change we'll see next is the replacement of "2-Disc Platinum Edition" to "2-Disc Special Edition."
:pan: Love It.

I think the pixie dust should be shiny like the LATT and TLM covers and does anyone know how to get a trailer off of a DVD? I was going to upload the PP trailer that was on the Region 2 TLM dvd

I was just going to say the same thing! (About the shiny cover). That would be ideal.

One of the bonuses they should include should be a virtual ride-thru version of the Peter Pan ride at the Disney parks. The question remains, though: should it be the California version or the Florida version?

The Californian one please. It looks nicer and it has this kinda nostalgic flair. The one in WDW looks too modern, in my opinion!

I've never been to the US ones------only the Paris one. How do they compare to that one?

Well, atlanticaunderthesea, I'll tell ya. The Paris one seats four passengers per ship instead of two, Captain Hook isn't wearing his hat while dueling with Pan and of course, the talking (but not the singing) is in French, but aside from those, it's more or less a direct lift of the one in California.

I was thinking about theatrical trailers. What do you think should be there? I'm quite sure that they will include the original 1953 trailer, but what reissue trailers do you think there should be? Just for the record, the ones that I hope get included are the ones from 1969, 1982 and 1989. What do you think should be there?

I'm a trailer fanatic, so I'd love any trailers available to be included.

I've been typing in that URL every now and then too waiting for the link to change to the official Peter Pan: Platinum Edition webpage. Looks like you beat me though :) Nice find, thanks for the post!

I agree that the green banner does not change much and the pixiedust would be cooler. I also like the idea of a giftset but most likely it will not happen. I still don't know if I'll be buying this or not.

Finally they put the site on. I've been waiting for this DVD, since I didn't get the old one, and I'm excited. I think every available trailer should be on it.
I'm still hoping for the Christmas special.
