I think the premise of the program is good, but the rewards aren't all that great, especially at the cost of all the dvds it takes to even get up to the lowest point levels. Assuming you buy 4 releases @ $20 or so, that's already $80, and you're lucky to get a hundred points each for them, and the minimum at 400 points most of what you're getting is a poster. And not even any limited edition or nice disney art. A bulk of it is Disney Channel "star" propaganda.
Ugh! It's not letting me log in! It's because I "forgot" my username when I actually (and I'm 100% sure about this) never created a username!

I totally don't remember them asking me that... Weird... Also, I'm still waiting for my survey points to be applied. Wonder what is taking so long. I definitely hope they have more surveys and things like that. Maybe trivia questions with point prizes. Anything! Because there point prices are way outta whack and waaaaay too high. I don't know when I'll ever be able to get anything! I'm not planning on buying things like the Little Einstein DVDs or Sing along Songs...goofystitch wrote:I really liked the section of the survey where they asked what future Disney titles you are most excited about. Pan was a 5 for me. lol. I hope future surveys involve that kind of stuff.

I hope everyone is reading the FAQS and Terms and conditions ... the rewards programs runs from October 3 2006 to October 2007 ...5. Any points remaining in an Enrollees Account which has remained inactive for a period of 270 days or more will be forfeited without compensation. Failure to log-in the Account constitutes inactivity for purposes of this condition.

I actually think that's a good thing. I suppose you will find two kinds of people, the ones who like this policy and the ones who don't.DisneyDVDFAN wrote:Also you can't buy 2 TLM or whatever and use the codes for both it is only one dvd per code at the site... even if you bought three copies of TLM only one code will work not all three ...

Now, this stuff I don't like. They're going to have to come up with more ways to earn points, lower the prices, and rearrange some prizes, or people aren't going to be able to get anything! This deal is getting worse all the time!DisneyDVDFAN wrote:I hope everyone is reading the FAQS and Terms and conditions ... the rewards programs runs from October 3 2006 to October 2007 ...5. Right. I'd be whining for the old free movie program, but I shamefully let too many of those slip by me. It was all that hassle with the receipts and everything... I like the idea of being able to just put in your code online, but if only it was the same old deal of just 3 codes or so and they send you a free movie of your choice! Now that would be GREAT!

I think that this rewards program is a waste of time and money. You can get most of those releases when they come out for so much less at stores like Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City and more. My thoughts are why should I put my credit card number out there so someone can hack into my information and possibly use it for their own reward. No Thanks. I love UD, but I will have to figure another way to support it than this. The Disney Rewards are like Columbia House and BMG, just another way to get your money and your information that should be kept private to yourself.
I'll pass, thank you.

I think you're thinking of the Disney Movie Club. The Disney Rewards program is completely free of charge and doesn't require any credit card information.dvdjunkie wrote:I think that this rewards program is a waste of time and money. It won't show my extra 100 points for the survey either!

As far as the 100 extra points for the survey, I e-mailed them and told them about this and they said it would take 7 - 10 days for the points to appear. As for the Rewards program in general I think it's pretty cool. Granted the prizes aren't top notch, wonderful ... but I like the idea of getting free stuff for buying DVDs I was planning to buy anyway. I think its a great idea!

I think that the Movie Rewards Program is a great idea! Last week on Tuesday I took the survey and entered my code from TLM. 100 points automatically got put in. Yesterday I entered my code from TF&tH, and still I only had 200 points- so hopefully by the end of the week I'll have my extra 100 points in my account. The "Bambi" poster, if I remember correctly, was only 400 points, and I want that, but I also want some of the figurines. I'm planning on buying, at the very least, "Cars", "Robin Hood", "The Fox and the Hound 2", "Cinderella III", and "Peter Pan", so, not counting any more survey points, I'll have 800 points by March!
And, even if the prizes aren't the greatest, at least they're free (but I agree- I hope Disney pays for shipping!).
