Luke, would you mind if...

Post by jabroni76 »

Luke, I realized that the avatar section is lacking many avatars, and that if you needed help, I could find some basic images, and make them to fit the size of requirements, and then you would be able to take away the ability to let anyone upload their own pictures, making the watch of icons much easier!

Just thought I would offer, since I am bored to death at home, and know basic photoshop skills!

If you have some good ones, by all means, I'd be willing to upload them to the gallery of avatars to choose from.

But I don't want to take away the ability for people to choose their own. Why would you want that option gone?

I do appreciate your help, and if you got some good avatars, ZIP them up and I'll upload them. Thanks!

Today however, I am working on a basic script like those anoying ones, which keep giving you alerts, and you hve to push okay! :P. The good thing is though, that it is all about Disney! However, my fingers are DEAD! :(

Thanks. If you're really bored, and would be able to help out with the site in any other way, suggesting a new feature or section or anything really, you think would be a useful addition, that'd be cool. Only if you're bored, of course, though. :)

actually Luke, a section on DisneyWorld, DisneyLand, and all other international ones (if you want), wouldn't be bad. I really dont know what you would put there, just general stuff like attractions, admissions, prices, special events, hotels, reviews on stuff, I dunno! :P

also, a section on Javascript wouldn't be bad. So finially I could finish the code I've been working on! ;) j/k on this one of course! Except I really can't figure it out! :(

Thank you very much Luke for not getting rid of the ability to choose our own avatars. I take a lot of time and great consideration in which photo I choose to represent along side my username.

I also get bored and would like to choose something different whenever I feel like it. It seems every couple of months I will eventually end up venturing out searching for a new avatar that catches my eye. It may not seem like a big deal, but I don't want the same avatar as everyone else.

Thank you once again for allowing us to make our own decision. :D

crazyfordvds,
No problem. I agree with your feelings, totally.

jabroni,
I have no idea what you're talking about hex code for area? Please explain and I'll try to help.

no luke, it's all right. I got it. what it is, is a six digit code that defines a color. So, for instance, to the left of our posts, where the icon's come, the Hexegonal (something like that) codes is "#EFF2F9".

Oh, and Luke, the whole reason I even suggested the idea of taking away the ability for people to have their own is because, eventually, the site will get bigger and bigger, and the amount of people who just want to make fun of the site will increase, and they would start doing stuff like uploading huge avatars. So I was just suggesting it for way later, once you have enough avatars to please everyone and the forums gets a great deal more of activity!

Yeah, that could be a problem. But it's something I'll worry about when the site grows. Which I hope happens soon!

As for the hexagonal code, you should have just said "background color thingy"...then I would have known what you were talking about. :D
