I will be so pissed off if this is true!
I preordered the little mermaid at The Disney Store and I do not want to double dip.

I guess I can just return the DVD back to the Disney store? :?

Even though it seems like an awfully short notice, I've been hanging onto that last bit of hope for the entire time! I shall cross my fingers and pray 5 times a day, hoping that this is true ;) I would seriously do anything to get my hands on a giftset with the little mermaid.

I really don't hope that "gift set" in their eyes simply means the TLM+TLM2 DVD-package.

Don't get your hopes up, Best Buy had a Gift Set for V for Vendetta and it was only available at Best Buy...and a real Disney Gift Set would be available online for pre-order at the Circuit City site as well. The Gift Set probably includes a few neat things but not worth paying an extra $20 for.

That's true to.
If that is the case then I will not buy. :)

I guess I will go to Best Buy first, I'm a Target shopper, and see what the Gift Set is. If there isn't anything interesting, I'll just go to Target, because it will be cheaper. I'm so excited about TLM coming, I am bouncing off the walls! :float:

hmmm....that whole gift set thing is kinda weird. You'd think that if it was actually an official disney set they'd have announced it. Then again, stranger things have happened so I'd actually be quite glad. I'll probably go check it out at best buy before I buy anything.

Also on ABC Family Jetix lineup is gone.

I wonder why it isn't listed on tvguide.com....maybe their site is just out of date?

I know that I made a post earlier today about how excited I was to hear that TLM might actually be getting a gift set, but I've come to the conclusion that I will just be buying the DVD by itself.

I've decided that it's the movie and the bonus features I want, and the gift set would actually be a waste of money, considering I'd only look at the character portraits and such once in a blue moon.

I went on Yahoo TV and The Little Mermaid is scheduled to air at 12:30PM EST on Tuesday. It showed this episode:

"The Great Sebastian" Episode #101.
King Triton selects Sebastian to deliver a document to Sharkania.

So look for The Little Mermaid weekdays at 12:30 PM EST. I know I gotta tune in I haven't seen these episodes in a long time.

It'd be sooooooooooooo awesome, if there was a TLM Gift set!!!!!!
I hope it's not a Bestbuy exclusive one.
I live in Gemany and I wanted to order at Amazon, because they ship worldwide.
Has anyone asked Disney yet, if it's true that the Gift set is coming?

Hey, here's what I think we should do:

If this turns out to be a GENERIC Giftset (aka: like all the other ones, not just a BB exclusive thing), then we should try to all pitch in and buy one! I mean, if this giftset sells really well, Disney might decide to continue with other giftsets (such as The Jungle Book, Pinocchio, or maybe Snow White and Beauty and the Beast!!) If this is a real giftset, (considering that it would be offered on such short notice) Disney is probably testing the waters (no pun intended) to see how well it would sell. So we should show Disney that they should continue the Giftset!!

What Do you guys think?? I REALLY want them to continue the giftset for the Jungle Book, and this possible TLM Giftset gives me hope! TJB would have been the only giftset I would have bought. :( But if there really is a TLM Giftset, I might buy it just to support the PE Giftsets.

We can get to know pretty fast if this is genuine? Has anyone conacted Disney and asked if they changed their minds on the TLM Gift Set?

It's 2 Disc. You've just read and quoted from a post with a link to a site that clearly states it's 2 disc!
