I'm officially C.O.E. but I'm an agnostic/athiest so I voted other.

I'm Methodist, which is Christian. So why isn't there Christian on the list? Or is that included under Protestant? I'm :?

Yeah, Methodists are protestants :) .

And for Mushu 2083.
(Taken from Google Defintions)

animism (an-uh-miz-uhm)

The belief, common among so-called primitive people, that objects and natural phenomena, such as rivers, rocks, and wind, are alive and have feelings and intentions.

I was thinking of putting atheist, maybe I'll try editing it. What's "C.O.E"? And does agnostic mean the same thing as atheist?

I was forseeing this. Let's clear this up... Does "Christian" consist of "Roman Catholic", "Protestant", and "Greek Orthodox"? If it does, then saying that one is Christian is a bit inspecific, as then you could be any one of those three. By the way...Sequel, then Methodist is another word for Protestant?

By the way, I wan't expecting anyone to click "animist", but I included it just in case... :D

Also, by the way, how seriously is religion taken in your country? In Malta, we're mostly Roman Catholic, but I was a bit shocked recently when I found out (through a survey of the whole Maltese population) that only 52% of us (Maltese) go to Sunday Mass regularly. I suppose it's the hectic life.

Now it's not that I'm a saint or anything. For one thing, I never make much effort to pay much attention to the sermon. I'm usually thinking of Disney movies...

Erm...I don't really know how to list my religion. I was raised as a Catholic and on my MySpace profile, I'm listed as that. However, I personally feel that I'm not a true Catholic. Now, I'm not a wicked creature or sexual predator, so I'm not saying that I'm not a true Catholic in that sense. What I mean to say, is that:

1. I appreciate aspects of many other religions and in some cases, I try to adpot them into my lifestyle.

2. I do not agree with some things in the Catholic doctorine. I'm cool with contraception, I don't regard homosexuality as a sin and I don't regard the Pope as some kind of living God (Equally, I don't agree with some things in other religions as well).

3. I often wonder if God is real or not.

Because of my scattered religious philosophy, I therefore voted for other.

I believe that Methodists, along with Lutherans, Anglicans, Babtists and Presbytarians, are types of Protestants.

No there is a difference :) . An agnostic is someone who doesn't know whether they believe in God or not, so they wouldn't regard themselves as a thiest (belief in god) or an Athiest (no belief in God at all)

And an athiest, as I just said, is someone who doesn't believe in any God.

I put 'Agnostic/Athiest' because I have swings of faith, sometimes I think there may be something there, and other times I dead set against the idea. So I guess I am an agnostic, but I do believe that God doesn't exist more than I do...if that makes sense. :D

Well, I voted for Protestant, but I don't believe in denominations. I'm a Christian and generally leave it at that.

Comment on 2.

Even I disagree on some things. I too think contraception is just fine. Honestly, I think God understands what lives we have to lead. I also think there's nothing wrong with being homosexual...I mean it can't be helped by the individual...can it? It's genetic.

Comment on 3.

There's nothing abnormal about that. It happens to everyone. It happens to me! I have learnt that it is normal for a human to doubt God. If it happens to you don't fret...keep you hair on...God understands.

Athiest (sp?)
Don't believe in the need for religion (at least on a personal level). Many people I've talked with don't like me being that way (especially with me living in Israel, a place where Judiaism is very strongly rooted in the culture). That's me though, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

That's also the case with me. I find that I disagree with something in every denomination, and the concept of splitting the church into groups that each interpret the Bible in some unique way kind of bothers me. I voted for Protestant only because a) I attend a Baptist church and b) my beliefs are closer to Protestantism than Catholicism.
