Well, I would participate. My parents agreed but, If I do, I won't be able to buy my neighbors a Christmas Tree and well... I think they need that more than I do...

:( :(

So, sorry guys, I don't think I can...

I don't think it is funny at all... They're poor people. Let me tell you something, its a 46 year-old woman having to raise 4 children and they don't have the money to buy nothing on Christmas nor any other day... So, stop laughing and making jokes... You wouldn't be laughing if you had to live on a freezing little house on Chicago, where is freezing...

i'm sorry it came across that way.. i'm not laughing at you buying a tree for your neighbors. i'm laughing at what mickeyboy said.. there is a difference.

it's very commendable that you are buying a tree for your neighbors. i'm very proud of you. i understand completely about helping out people who are not as blessed as we are. every year my family adopts another family that can't afford to provide a nice christmas for their kids and themselves.

i'm sorry i came across as insensitive. i'm definitely not that..
maybe you can provide gifts and a tree if you spend your money wisely. :)

No, our neighborhood will join together to give this family a good Christmas. Some neighbors will give them some new furniture, others, clothes so that they'll keep worm and some will give them food. Me, I'll give them a Tree and my friends will give some tree decorations.

Don't let him get you down, Tangela. I think what you are doing is great. There is certainly nothing wrong with spreading a little holiday cheer.

There is no reason to justify why people wount or can't partisipate.

If everybody should start a topic about everything they do or don't this website would go down real quickly.

But when that is sead I will add that I think you are doing the correct choice here. It is nice to give to those that does not have all they need.

But you should be more descreet about it because people that are in need of this support does not feel that good about it. They do aprisiate that peple will help, but they feel asamed that they can not take care of this themselves.

And to those making bad comments here, just stop. I agree that Tangela did not have to write this post, but the fact that he tryes to give another family some joy in this special time.

In all fairness, this wasn't started as a new topic - it just took the existing main Secret Santa thread entirely off-topic, so I split it. Being a dictator and all.

Sorry. I certainly don't know where you would get the idea from, Lady, but it must be my topic-splitting. ;)
