Question about the 3 dvd get 1 free

Post by tinkergirl »

Hi I'm new here and I was wondering about the buy 3 get 1 free dvd special?. I just got Finding Nemo and I saw in the little booklet about that special. My question is my brother bought me the Lion king previously viewed and I was wondering if that could be counted for one of the 3 or if they have to be new dvds?. Thanks.

well the coupon doesn't state if it has to be new or used. but i would think they have to be new.

Well, if the receipt doesn't specified a Previously Viewed DVD, you might be alright, assuming you bought it from a place like Blockbuster.

but then you have to cut the covers on your dvds :x the better deals i've been finding in the dvds are the books from scholastic for 1 dollar shipping. so far i've sent in for 101 dalmations 2, lilo and stitch and one was cat in the hat. i need to go through mu other dvds and see if i can find more of these.

I don't know - a children's book for $1 or a DVD for $1.99 and 3 PoPs? I'll go with the latter. :)

if you have the receipts and PoP's, they are essesntially not going to be able to tell if it's used or not, unless if the price is well under what it sold for in stores. the fine print doesn't give indication that previously viewed dvd's are excluded. i wouldn't think there would be a problem. you can always call and find out

Used DVD for freebies

Post by herman_the_german »

I've used Ebay & Half.com receipts and so far I've had no problems. Both companies are known for selling used & new stuff.

I've been careful to send them receipts that do not have the word USED on them (if you know what I mean, and I think you do). But the only way to test it is to actually send them the receipt and see if they take the bait.

The way I see it is that if the previous owner did not remove the proof of purchase it's as good as new.

i'm just anal about my cases and was wondering if a copy of the proof of purchase and a receipt would be good enough. they sould just make it buy 3 get one free reddemable at the time of purchase. also, i'm curious, does disney send some sort of certificate or something and how much is it actually worth? i found what looks like a 6 dollar disney bill in one of my dvds. how many of those do i need to = 1 dvd? i was discussing with my wife about how warner brothers dvds have a proof of purchase tab that can be dissconnected without messing up the face of the cover but those are also the less liked snapper style case. also if you showed disney a receipt from a used bookstore showing you paid 7.99 for 101 dalmations part 2 they may not honor that but if you show them a receipt from ebay showing you paid 60 dollars for 101 dalmations the original that's ok? free dvds just so long as you didn't get a good deal on the ones you paid for?
