2-D goes the way of Cryogenics

Post by bh8690 »

Move over Walt...Eisner in all his so-called wisdom has terminated traditional 2-D (hand drawn) animation. If only Charles Schultz was here: Good Grief, Mr Eisner...if we could only CGI your intelligence!

I heard that McCartney might be leaving the Beatles...?
The very existence of Dumbo is a fairly persuasive argument against agnosticism.

Even though He might be leaving the beatles, cut the poor boy a break.
It's always shocking news to here about Disney going only 3D.

Some people won't discover this until 3 years from now.

This is all just a bunch of nonsense, hearsay, rumor, urban legend... Well, I don't know about urban legend, but on this board, it seems to be. Disney would NEVER get rid of hand-drawn animation. It's their crown-jewel. The Contract with PIXAR will be up soon. If they don't renew, I could see thier traditional features increasing significantly, as Disney is not near as good at CGI as Pixar is.

I challenge anyone to point to a press release, or anyone within the Disney company that can confirm this silly rumor.
