Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure DVD Press Release
So happy, went to Target yesterday and they had of ton of LatT2 DVDs without those pesky latches, bought one right away and since I haven't opened the one with latches, plan to return it right away.Kram Nebuer wrote:
Darn! I didn't know the Dumbo had ones w/o the stupid latches! Gaahh!! But thanks for the tip!
I don't know if I want to buy this or not. Escapay has a copy already, but it would be nice to have my own copy. Jane wants to buy Eight Below at Best Buy for the Pirates tickets so maybe I'll buy LatT2 for that $9.99 dealio. But then it's either that or the Prince of Egypt for $9.50 at Wal-Mart. I was so thrilled that they got some in stock and other Dreamworks movies for cheap! I dunno what I'm gonna do HELP!
Yay!!

What's so terrible about latches? They are for the DVDs protection, not that latches really make sense, now, a voice-activated DVD would be great protection, not latches

LOL, but the case can keep itself closed well enough already without the latches. They're just really annoying: when I pick a movie and am opening it up, but then the latches catch me by surprise and I nearly bend the case trying to open it not knowing the latches are holding the case together. Until finally the damage is done, the latches did their job but now I bent the case. Eh, I hope you can follow that.TheSequelofDisney wrote:What's so terrible about latches? I got the DVD last Friday, Aaron got it Monday. We need to ask a little more patience. Trust me, we're not trying to slack.BATBFan1 wrote:when is the review coming?

I think it'll be around for a while. It'll probably go back into the vault when LAtT: Platinum Edition goes back into the vault. But just to be safe, I think you should get your copy soon.Starion wrote:Does anyone know when Disney / Buena Vista Pictures will stop shipping Scamp's Adventure? I still haven't bought my copy.

I have the first release of this one, so I'm going to skip it I think, like I skipped Emperor's New Groove's rerelease (already had the 2-disc one). I'm not missing out on anything new, am I? It seems I will have to get the Dumbo and Fox and the Hound rereleases, even though I already have them, because they're supposed to be remastered and all, but I've missed enough NEW stuff as it is. I only just got the Kim Possible Movie recently. I fell behind with my Disney DVDs back when Atlantis: Milo's Return came out (which I still need). For a while, I was just falling behind on the direct to video stuff, but then it got to the feature stuff too. Still need Heffalump Movie, Valiant, and Home on the Range. Oh, and is The Wild out already? I want to catch up, but the rereleases make it harder, and it's especially annoying when they're not full of new stuff to make them more satisfying.
Anyways, I thought Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure had a lot of potential. I think they messed it up by using an adult to voice Scamp and by making it a Broadway style musical (instead a more subtle type musical, like the original). It has its good qualities, but the flaws are powerful and frustrating. I am a Disney comics fan, so I wish they had done better for Scamp. Rather than the teen angst stuff, they should have done a Homeward Bound kinda plot mixed in with the love story. Oh well, there's an idea for the next one.
