Head on over to www.cartoonresearch.com and see this rare short made by Walt Disney Prod. on the topic of venereal disease. Nothing graphic but definite mature content.

Thank you for this excellent cartoon on "VD Attack Plan". I've never seen this before and it was great. This was another Disney banned cartoon along with "The Story of Menstration" and "Spirit of '43". It was about how the dangers of veneral disease, where to go for help, how to cure it, and how to prevent it. Actor Keenan Wynn of "The Absent-Minded Professor", "Son of Flubber", "Herbie Rides Again" and a few Disney films was the narrator for this rare short.

Disney's "VD Attack Plan"

Post by Fflewduur »

I had no idea this film existed--stumbled across it on Google video, available for streaming or free download. And yes, it's exactly what it sounds like: a VD education film! I'd thought it might've been a wartime short but the Roman numerals look like 1973 to me...

Now I'm searching for the even more obscure Disney's "The Story of Menstruation." Wish me luck!

You're in luck!

P.S. I merged your new thread with this one, in case you haven't figured it out. Now I've just got to make a way to search for VD. "Venereal disease" shall have to enter the title!

Thanks Luke...I'm still trying to figure out how I missed the initial post! Although I guess I have been a bit busy lately what with my daughter being born & all.

I wonder--will this ever rate inclusion in an official collection?

Another glorious addition to the storied "World War II Venereal Disease Prevention Film" genre.

Apparently, quite a few of these type of film were made...and some of them are astoundingly cheesy. At least one (live-action, not the Disney version) was "reviewed" on Mystery Science Theater 3000...high-larious 8)
