They are compilations of old Mickey and Donald shorts, similar to the Classic Cartoon Favorites series.

I am not buying any new DVD releases this week, but I did take advantage of the discounted Star Trek:TNG and DS9 DVDs.

None of those, though there are some great things there. The Man?? Never heard of it.

Someday soon darn it, I'm going to get those New Adventures of Superman season set DVDs. They're just a little out of my price range at the moment. But that was a really good show for what it was, and it thankfully didn't over-dramatize the show at all. It was rarely ever a tearjerker type show. The humor was actually, dare I say it, kind of quirky. For a superhero show, it was a damn sight better than Buffy.

I won't be buying anything this week, but I would like to pick up Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken sometime in the future. It was one of my favorite movies to watch on the Disney Channel when I was younger.

It's a comedy starring Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy. :)

Although the film is excellent, I would highly advise against purchasing this IF the 2-Disc SE has the same transfer as the single-disc WS release. Why? you ask... Because the single-disc WS transfer is presented in a "family friendly" WS 1.78:1 aspect ratio (i.e. pan-and-scan for 16x9 televisions = yuck! ). By contrast, the film was originally shot intended for a 2.35:1 theatrical presentation.

I'm praying that the film is presented OAR in the 2-Disc SE, but I'm not holding my breath... If so, then that would mean that Lions Gate paid for THREE separate transfers of the film to DVD -- 2.35:1, 1.78:1, and  1.33:1  . I will only purchase this film on DVD if it is OAR!

None this week, surprisingly.
Already had the Fun Factories pre-ordered from DDD when they had them on sale for $5.99. :)

What exactly are they? Episodes from an old show?
Some shorts that are taken from the Walt Disney Treasures just like the Cartoon Classic Favorites series.

You can see what shorts are on the DVD thanks to Luke.
