A Vault Disney Channel...

Post by I Am Clark Kent »

Okay. Let's start a thread on what this new station could show.

First and furmost, the demograph for this station would be strickly for the 18-99 year olds. In other words, ADULTS ONLY. 8)

And now what would you guys like to see on this station? Old Disney stuff for sure, but we can't have it become just another station like TV Land. Or we're just spinning our wheels rehashing stuff everyone has seen before, and the audience will just change the channel.

Vault Disney in my opinion should be everything that The Disney Channel and Toon Disney aren't.

For instance, disney cartoons which are geared toward our demograph. Look at Adult Swim on Cartoon Network to see what I mean.

I'd also like to see documentries, retrospectives, and even some new shows which focus on the Disney Fandom around the world.

I mean just think of the list of subjects Disney could work on:

1. Fantatic Collectors.

2. Website Masters. AKA ultimatedisney.com

3. Fan Artists. Especially satire artists! :P

4. The Disney Tatoo Guy! :D

5. Cast Members from around the world! 8)

6. People like us, who rant and rave about Disney 24/7.

Those are my top picks. What are yours?

I love the idea since I posted on that recently on thread on both channels jumped the shark. Vault Disney Channel is going to be a channel that appeals to people who loved the old Disney Channel 30-44. Let's start with my dream lineup:

5:00 AM - "Good Morning Mickey!"
5:30 AM - "Donald Duck Presents"
6:00 AM - "Mousercise"
6:30 AM - "Just You and Me Kid"
7:00 AM - "The Wuzzles"
7:30 AM - "The Adventures of the Gummi Bears"
8:00 AM - "The Mouse Factory"
8:30 AM - "DTV"
9:00 AM - "Ink & Paint Club"
10:00 AM - Movie
12:00 PM - "Kids Incorperated"
12:30 PM - "Mickey Mouse Club" (All eras 1955-59, 1977-78 and 1989-95)
1:00 PM - "Wonderful World of Disney"
2:00 PM - "Zorro"
2:30 PM - "Dumbo's Circus"
3:00 PM - "Welcome to Pooh Corner"
3:30 PM - "The Hardy Boys"
4:00 PM - "Goof Troop"
4:30 PM - "Tale Spin"
5:00 PM - "Darkwing Duck"
5:30 PM - "DuckTales"
6:00 PM - "Mickey's Mouse Tracks"
6:30 PM - "Donald's Quack Attack"
7:00 PM - "Mousterpiece Theater"
7:30 PM - "The Mouse Factory"
8:00 PM - Movie
10:00 PM - "Danger Bay"
10:30 PM - "Still the Beaver"
11:00 PM - "Kids Incorperated"
11:30 PM - "Mickey Mouse Club" (All eras)
12:00 AM - Movie (until 4:00 AM)
4:00 AM - Infomercials (until 5:00 AM)

How do you like my new dream lineup for the new Vault Disney Channel?

take out the infomercials (not necessary for a DISNEY channel) and have a movie on in the evening instead of at midnight.

Why would this be adults only? I don't remember Dumbo's circus having adult situations. It should be what Disney used to be - family friendly entertainment.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Not bad, but isn't that basically just The Disney Channel circa 1987?

All cool ideas, but another one I have is maybe give Jim Hill his own news shows to tell us all the news happening with Disney. Maybe give us info on new movies and theme park rides. He could also inform us when a "Disney legend" has died or when their stocks rise or when a tragic accident at a Disney theme park happenes, I don't know, but this could be the only news show I watch! 8)

Have a show called 'A Night at the El Capitan with Leonard Maltin' or something similar where they show a classic Disney Movie with an introduction by Leonard (or somebody related to the film) describing the history of the film, giving anecdotes and describing it's approval with the public when it was released.
