Future Treasures
Future Treasures
I just started pondering this,
but are there enough Pluto cartoons to make a Treasures release in the future? Or maybe Chip and Dale? Ive seen a few of them but i am unsure whether there are enough shorts for this to be a possibility. A chip and dale treasure would be great

There are certainly enough Pluto cartoons (almost 50) to make up a complete treasures set.
Not so with Chip 'n' Dale. If I remember correctly, there are only three "solo" cartoons with Chip 'n' Dale. In all the rest, they are only supporting characters in films where Donald, or in some cases Pluto or Mickey plays the lead. If you count all the cartoons with Chip 'n' Dale, you still only end up with 23 films. Amazing, isn't it? You would think that there were many more.

I don't like Humphrey the Bear, Figaro, or many of the Chip and Dale cartoons, come to think of it, I think it's mainly just that time period, I don't care for many of those cartoons, however I will probably buy this, just to help complete my collection of the cartoon sets, I still need Goofy, and I guess Behind the Scenes, since that has the Reluctant Dragon short.
I can't wait for next year's MM in BW Vol II set!!!

I keep wondering if those leftover "Mickey Universe" shorts would be plugged onto sets starring the major characters.Chernabog wrote:![]()
I think it´s more likely that the Chip an´ Dale cartoons will be included in the Special Treasure DVD that maybe comes next year.
Together with Figaro shorts, Humphrey the Bear shorts and all the rest of the SPecial that Disney did during the 40´s and the 50´s.
Say, Chip 'n' Dale and Humprey Bear on Donald Duck Vol 4 and Figaro on Complete Pluto.

I'd love to see a 'Behind The Scenes At Walt Disney World' Treasures.
I'm interested in seeing the specials that were produced by Disney surrounding the making and openings of each of the 4 parks in Florida.
I'm also looking forward to the 'True-Life Adventures' Treaures which is rumored to be coming out next year.
I really think at this point I'd get ANY of the Treasures. I wasn't sure if I'd be interested in some of the earlier ones, but picked them up anyway. I was very surprised to find out how much I enjoyed ALL of them.
I hope that they continue (with the same touch of quality and even more variety) for a very long time!

ZORRO!!!
I can't wait to get the Zorro episodes. This used to be one of my favorites as a kid. I would reccomend it to anyone who likes Disney's Live Action films. I was hesitant about getting the Davey Crockett set but when I finally got it and watched it, it became one of my favorite Disney DVD's. I think that Zorro could be the same for those of you who have not seen it.
AFAIK, for sure, next year we will get Mickey Mouse in Black and White 2 and True-Life Adventures. Anything more than that is speculation at this point, although it's been strongly hinted we may see a Treasure of Zorro also, just not the entire run of the show. Not yet anyway.

I would personally love that! I think we're long overdue for that sequel. The only problem is the only "selling points" it has are Pied Piper and Little Hiawatha. The other major Symphonies were out with the first Treasure.I also think we might see a Silly Symphones Vol II next year.
I would hope for that and Zorro to be the other two, but we'll really just have to see. Either way, excitement in the air!

Well I don´t really agree with that - there are a lot of shorts in the Silly Symphony-series that are fameous and can make a set sell, I think!
What about these:
Playful Pan
The Spider and the Fly
King Neptune
Bugs in Love
Santa´s Workshop
The Pied Piper
The Night Before Christmas
The Goddess of Spring
Three Orphan Kittens
Cock O´The Walk
Broken Toys
Merbabies
to name a few!
