Anyone excited for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire coming out on November 18? I know I am! I obsess with Harry Potter so much! I have 55 copies of the Harry Potter novels (different countries &languages, UK, Italy, Sweden, Japan, China, etc.) I have a very detailed Hogwarts costume, posters galore, prop replicas from masterreplicas.com and more! Ah, Harry Potter is sweet goodness. TALK ABOUT GOBLET OF FIRE AND HP IN GENERAL HERE!

I have to say I'm definitely excited. HP4 seems to be the most actionpacked in the series (bookwise), and from the trailers, the movie looks to be true to form. After being somewhat let down by HP3 (great the first time, but after more than 3 times watching it, it's tiresome), I'm hoping this one is better. I don't care much for what they left out, simply because if they were to go as planned as a two-movie deal (HP4 separated into 2 movies), it'd hurt the series and they'd be stretching out the two movies to cover material that really wouldn't be necessary in making a movie. I think that's what the fans mix up. They want to see the book on film, which would be a sight to see, but they don't want to see an adaptation of the book (what the movies have been). But they're not the only ones seeing the movie, so sacrifices have to be made so the movie is easy to follow without padding it with a lot of the substories in the book (like SPEW). HP1 and HP2 was almost like a visual cliffnotes of the books, minus a few important stuff, and HP3 suffered the most when it came to details omitted (especially some necessary ones). I'm hoping that while HP4 is a good adaptation of the book, and I don't mind that they cut out several characters or substories, so long as the movie is easy to follow for a casual film fan.

I totally agree! Well, expcept for your comments on HP3. I can watch that for days on end. I saw it 5 times at the theatres (IMAX was amazing), but I do agree about certain things that they shouldn't have cut out.

Anyway, I can tell you that Bagman is cut out of the film. That Barty Crouch Jr. some how shows up at the Riddle House in the beginning, that Spew is cut (not needed), and some others I can't remember. But one thing that is great to know is that thewhole pensive and Barty Crouch storyline is in! Which is nesecary, obviously! I'm so excited. Beyond beleif. Iwill be at the midnight showing read to see the best Harry Potter film yet!

I saw Sorcerer's Stone 7 times in the theatre, Chamber of secrets 4, and Prisoner of Azkaban (which was my favorite) 5 times. I wanted to go 10, but I ran out of money, lol.

Oh yeah! I can't wait for this! As soon as me and a couple of my friends get out of school on November 18th, we're going straight to the theater! The trailers are great! This one seems to have the perfect mix of Columbus and Cuaron so far. Columbus had the HP1 and HP2 book details down pat, and all the things that were needed were there. On the other hand, Cuaron gave HP3 a truly magical feel, and gave great preformances out of the actors. I feel that HP4 will have both of these elements. Book 4 has been my favorite of the 6 so far, I doubt even book 7 will get to me like 4. I think the reason 4 is my favorite is because it really got my emotions. I was completely scared to death throught the graveyard chapters (and most likely reading it at night would scare you to!). The PG-13 rating makes me even more happy as this shows the film will stay true to the terrifying moments.

Do You Guys Think This Movie Will make less money then the first three or will it make more??

My Prediction is that it might make something in between Chamber Of Secerts and Socerers Stone or It Might Make a little more than sorceres stone.

I hope this movies becomes the 2nd biggest film of the year(i wish first but theres no way it can beat star wars)

Here Are My Predictions

Weekend 1.
Friday: 45million
Saturday: 40million
Sunday: 25million
Total: 110million

Weekend 2(thanks giving)
Thursday:15million
Friday: 30million
Saturday: 25million
Sunday: 20million
Total Gross: 90million
^ That makes it have 200million

Weekend 3
Friday: 10million
Saturday: 15million
Sunday: 8million
Total Gross: 33million
Probblay still be in first place

Weekend 4: (Narnia Comes Out)
Friday: 6million
Saturday: 10million
Sunday: 4million
Total Gross: 19million

^Well Narnia Should have a opening weekend between 60 an 80 million... At That Time Goblet Of Fire Should Have 278million because of weekdays also... but then King Kong comes out so in the end my guess it that it will have 340million making it the second biggest film of the year

well thought out prediction and eventhough Im not sure about $340 million, my bet is that it's indeed gonna break the trend of the series, each movie making less than the previous one. This one should make more than Chamber and Prisoner and perhaps even more than Stone. Let's hope so.
